Stepping on a plug
Having to wear damp socks
A fly in the room when you’re trying to concentrate

Being woken up in the middle of the night warm and snuggly and hearing your dog vomiting on the carpet then treading in it rushing to evict him.
Also putting your foot in your slipper to find the cat's done a soggy shit in the toe area.

eatdrinkandbemerry · 04/04/2023 22:23

When the film won't come of a ready meal in one piece 🙄

dropthevipers · 04/04/2023 22:23

Missing your train by 5 seconds and the next one is cancelled, which means you will be late. (I'm looking at you, SW trains-cunts). Milk carton tetra packs which need ninja/SAS skills to open without showering yourself. Chanel hopping through radio stations and blundering into "Lady in Red" by the monobrowed cunt.

People letting their kids use tablets / phones on full blast without headphones in a public place

PurpleParrotfish · 04/04/2023 22:24

The door handles in our flat are quite high and I am short. The feeling of suddenly being yanked backwards as my sleeve catches at the shoulder is the worst thing and I’ve ripped three tops (in the past 15 years not all at once).

Queenof1964 · 04/04/2023 22:25

@LunaNorth

Can I second all of yours, please?

Ive got a stupid little paper cut that I keep forgetting about… until it got vinegar on it earlier😡

And totally agree with all your cups of tea issues👍

Doodar · 04/04/2023 22:26

pouring rancid milk into a cuppa
going to bed to read, leave glasses downstairs
people who forget door keys at 3am in a morning
no £1 coin for a big trolley
dogs that refuse to come in from the garden and you're late for work

Mollypolly2610 · 04/04/2023 22:28

When your dog has a sloppy one and as you pick it up it goes over your fingers. I felt awful one day there were two women in the park and one was crying and had tissues and I had to apologise to them and ask for a tissue. Felt awful. She was boaking as she gave me one.

I NEVER take her out without wipes and tissues now.

Being charged with 34 felony offences when you did nothing wrong and were only trying to make America great again Sad

mdinbc · 04/04/2023 22:32

A wet bandage left on the side of the tub/shower. urgh

ScottBakula · 04/04/2023 22:45

Half way through cooking tea and the gas goes on your prepayment meter
Bonuses points if its late and the fecking shop is shut.

The cable for your phone / vac / lamp not been quite long enough.
Cat litter tracked around the house .

I fully agree with the door handle thing , I swear my kitchen door leaps at me sometimes .

That’s annoying, but I think adults playing loud music in shared spaces is worse.

Going to bed and realising you stripped the sheets earlier in the day and haven't remade it!

Lots of these I can relate to, but THIS is a killer - especially on a Sunday night!

ForTheSakeOfThePenguin · 04/04/2023 23:22

A mosquito bite on the sole of your feet.

Seeing a scorpion running under your bed.

JoanJettsMullet · 04/04/2023 23:56

Trying to get to sleep and a car alarm starts going off somewhere 😡

I HATE when that happens

When you apply your make up perfectly....and your mascara wand pokes you in the eye.
Or you catch it on your perfectly powdered nose, leaving a trail of mascara across it.
When no matter how you dry and style it, your hair looks like it's been attacked by a grenade, yet when you're not going anywhere so you just give it a blast with the hairdryer, it turns out perfect!!
It might not apply so much these days, but accidentally smudging freshly applied nail polish.

PogoThePunk · 05/04/2023 01:37

Or a bloody nail breaking just before you're going for an evening out and you have no superglue.

WandaWonder · 05/04/2023 01:59

Sticking a spoon in cornflour

Travelling on the Elizabeth Line to Reading and finding the trains have no loos.

Being woken up within a few minutes of drifting off! Gives me heart palpitations...and rage!

CultureAlienationBoredomandDespair · 05/04/2023 07:39

Having had a salty takeaway and waking up to realise you’ve already drunk all your water.

Stepping out the bath onto a wet bath mat. It makes me feel ill.
Opening a bottle with a tight lid if I'm the first person to use it.
Having to sit next to strangers on a bus/ train.
Being stuck on a narrow street with people blocking it by walking slowly.

LunaNorth · 05/04/2023 08:22

Tearing apart wet cotton wool.
Being jizzed on by your yoghurt when you open the lid. That stuff doesn’t shift.
