I'm bored, what's for dinner?

My Internet is down, I'm bored, tell me what you are having for dinner.

I think we are going to have pork steaks, green & yellow pepper, courgette & aubergine tray bake, maybe with a bit of onion in there two, and the lat bit of about of frozen cauliflower. The peppers don't really go but need using. I might stick some apple in the oven too.

Not a clue 🤷‍♀️ I haven't eaten properly since last Thursday because I've been ill & now I'm hungry, I don't know what I want to eat.

You need soup

@ImSweetEnoughDarlin I've drunk my way through a million cup-a-soups this past week. I do fancy a noodley soupy thing but maybe not tonight - something gentle on my stomach is needed.

I'm leaning towards sausages, or fishfingers, with beans & maybe a few chips.

Aldi posh burgers, maybe with blue cheese and fried onions in brioche rolls... homemade chips and maybe onion rings.. coleslaw on the side... oh and maybe some very over-ripe avocado?

Wine.

We are having hot dogs and dirty fries. Can't wait! I'm starving and want melted cheese.

Maraudingmarauders · 17/03/2023 17:42

Spaghetti carbonara (the egg, cheese and guanciale kind, not the cream and bacon kind!)
Might make a caprese salad for the side...

You are assuming dinner is in the evening OP. For many in the north and those at school, they will have had it.

Being a southerner that lives with a northerner this is a discussion that has been going on in my house for the last 5 years.

It's my partners birthday so I'm off out to eat my own body weight in steak 😁

For those who asked for the curry burger recipe, this is the sauce I use:
www.ocado.com/products/s-b-golden-curry-medium-hot-294502011
I know waitrose and ocado do it. You can usually also find it in oriental supermarkets.

It's super easy to use. It comes in a block and you boil some water, take the water off the boil while you stir it in (to avoid lumps) and then heat again. You can make so many different types of Japanese curry with this.

I cook some Japanese rice, works best with rice that sticks together. Put a thick layer of rice in a bowl. Pop a cooked burger on top, pour over curry sauce. Then a sprinkle of grated mozzarella (which may sound weird but really works!). But obviously if you don't like cheese then skip that step!
