Single woman. What city to visit in Europe?

Any suggestions welcome. Would like a peaceful hotel, shopping, museums, somewhere nice to have a meal by myself and lots of walking / nice scenery. Any ideas welcome... budget £1,000... but reluctantly x

Venice or Rome?

Don' t laugh - I'd say Edinburgh .. and stay somewhere beautiful and central like 10 Hill Place, or in the New Town.

Stunning city - I could walk around it forever. Great museums, fab shops, including quirky independents, wonderful places to eat. And the beauty of being able to gaze at the sea and mountains (well, the crags of Arthur's Seat) from the centre of the city!!

Well under £1,000 - just a beautiful train ride away, assuming u r in the UK

I travelled loads as a single woman, and used to live in Spain.
Lots of places to recommend - eg Madrid, Valencia, Seville, Granada, Malaga.

I love Edinburgh either by myself, with my husband or with my friends!

I went to Barcelona in the summer. Felt totally safe and lots to see just by walking around.

I also used to live in Paris. Got loads of hassle in the street but that was when I was young and hot which I'm not any more 😁

Granada in Southern Spain! Lovely friendly little city. Go to The Alhambra (go early in the morning and take your passport for ID). Walk back down to the city via the river. Loads of little tapas bars and parks. Gorgeous place.

I've happily done Copenhagen, Stockholm and Barcelona alone.

I've visited Amsterdam, Paris, Rome and Vienna on my own.. Loved them all!

Rome. I've travelled a lot and it's the best city I've been to in the world. Loads and loads to see and pretty safe. Just look out for pick pockets and bag snatchers. Accommodation can be a bit pricey in the centre.

I've been to Amsterdam, Prague and Seville as a single woman and felt very safe in all of them.
