Where are all your small kitchen electricals?

Do they fit in your kitchen ok or is it all cluttered.

I hate clutter but we seem to have it nevertheless

In the kitchen we have a kettle, the various tea/coffee/sugar jars, I then have my blender out on the top as Im going to need to use it every day. We also have a coffee machine and toaster. The microwave luckily is in a cupboard but we also have a slow cooker out on top, plus kitchen utensils next to the hob. Then of course theres the sink

But ideally I would like an airfryer, no room. I would like a pressure cooker/instant pot thing, no room.

Where do people put all their stuff, I see people's worktops and they are always so clear of 'stuff'.

I have some items out on the surfaces and others in the cupboards because I only have a relatively small kitchen. On the surfaces I have a kettle, toaster and a Bluetooth speaker. I also have a microwave, but that's on wall brackets so that it doesn't take up any counter space. In the cupboards I have an air fryer, a slow cooker and a blender.

Hot water tap, built in microwave, which is the best thing ever, and why do you have your tea and coffee stuff out all the time

I had a new kitchen 2 years ago and had huge drawers rather than cupboards. I get instapot, slow cooker, grill thing and loads of other stuff in them. They lift in and out easily with no huffing and puffing. I hate stuff on the counter but having just seen the telly I will start keeping my wooden spoons in a jar as they keep going green in the drawer.

We are very lucky to have a lovely big kitchen with plenty of space - but I don't enjoy cooking and I don't like clutter so I much prefer to keep surfaces clutter free and looking nice. Apart from the kettle there are no electrical appliances on our kitchen surfaces at all (we have a toaster but that's in the utility room). We have a combination oven/microwave.

I hasten to add that I can and do cook regularly - I am just very much of the 'cook because I have to' persuasion and I'd rather have clear kitchen surfaces than multiple gadgets. DH is a more creative/talented cook than I am but even he is perfectly happy to make do with the hob and the oven - I don't understand why people need a 'maker' for everything under the sun - we put a food processor on our wedding list and 15 years later it went to the charity shop having been used once! We do have a hand-held blender that gets regular use but that is kept in a cupboard.

Having said all that, though, we don't like the 'clinical' look for the kitchen either, so there's always a vase of flowers and a fruit bowl on the kitchen island, plus some practical bits and pieces (knife block, kettle, dish drainer, kitchen roll dispenser etc) on the main worktop near the sink. But everything that is 'out' has been chosen for aesthetics as much as practicality.

The only things on the work surface are kenwood chef (used a few times a week) toaster, kettle, small coffee machine and knife block.

I keep the coffee, tea, sugar, hot choc etc in the wall cupboard above the kettle.

I have previously had the Kenwood chef in a cupboard, but I use it loads and it’s a faff to bring it in and out all the time.

I quite like the type of clot hen cabinet that you keep a toaster and kettle in and can close the doors on, but then I wonder if there is enough work surface next to each of them to make drinks and butter toast.

In. A kitchen draw

I have one of these
It has slow cooker, dry fryer, pressure cooker and more, so you only need the one. It has 2 lids as the pressure cooker needs a different one so you need somewhere to store one lid. (The dry fryer lid is hot when removed, and comes with a heat proof stand so I store this in a deep drawer and I can put the top straight back on it.)

Makes great toasted sandwiches too.

You can also get covers for them if you aren't keen on the stainless steel look.
