Is it as bad as mine?

Mouse liver (albeit spat out)

My youngest is a bit of a liability generally, but as a toddler she had a particular liking for munching on garden snails, even already dead ones. We also had to ask people to remove any bowls of cat biscuits when we visited 🤢

FrazzledHippy · 26/02/2023 23:43

Just after my DD had started crawling, our very old, very hairy cat brought a poo nugget into the living room, presumably stuck to his bum hair.

How did I find out? That's right. DD ate it. Or, more accurately chomped it abit and drooled it out. Que me desperately cleaning it out of her mouth/teeth/nails whilst throwing up into a bowl at the side of me.

DD on the other hand, never even flinched.

The worst my dd ate was some blue playdoh. She used to call it maker and I only knew she’d chomped on some when she came over to me and said “this maker isn’t very nice mummy!”

Luckily this one was my niece and not one of mine, a live snail. Popped it in her mouth and crunched it up. My sister wasn’t fast enough and couldn’t get to her before she swallowed it.

Cat poo. She was crawling, dh had swept the floor, moved the door which the litter tray was behind, then swept and pushed the door back, some must have got stuck under the door which she found. Phoning for advice was fun. They thought I said cat food and sounded like they were wondering what on earth all the fuss was about! She was fine but the smell trying to clean her mouth out was 🤢

DS aged under 1 was very mobile (walking at 10 months) and very curious.

The two most memorable things he ate were sudocrem, a mouth coating fist full, and a deflated blue balloon (found the other end), no idea where that came from as no balloons in the house.

bellsbuss · 27/02/2023 00:10

One of mine ate a Chucky pig once and another of mine some bird poo. Still turns my stomach years later

42isthemeaning · 27/02/2023 00:18

Cat sick
Oh and packets of silica gel

Luredbyapomegranate · 27/02/2023 00:29

Crayons that a young relative had kindly dropped in her cot. She got through an impressive amount before being discovered. It was like cleaning up oil slick at the other end.

dollypartin · 27/02/2023 00:29

Rocks 😱

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 27/02/2023 00:32

Yellow play-doh. Note: do not put it on their high chair tray as it can easily be confused with cheese.
Woodlice. I don't know what what they taste like but apparently it's good as it was at least the second helping I fished out.

Barleysugar86 · 27/02/2023 00:33

My daughter ate a slug (well tried to, I got it out of her mouth before she did it any damage so that's something I guess!). This thread makes me feel better.

Also, a silicia gel packet. After much panicked googling I was relieved to find out they are mostly harmless, despite the giant DO NOT EAT warnings!

Dondigdu · 27/02/2023 00:56

My DD eats her own eye bogies and the dirt under her nails 🤢🤢🤢🤢

HobnobsChoice · 27/02/2023 01:01

A snail. Well part of a snail before the apparently unpleasant taste truly registered and he spat the rest back out. My husband still retches at the memory of the crunching sound if I retell the tale.
My daughter ate dog kibble she still claims it was nice. She is 9 now and will only eat about 4 things. Maybe I should disguise it all as kibble

paulhollywoodshairgel · 27/02/2023 01:11

Glittery Hama beads.. made for some interesting nappies 😂

Elderflower14 · 27/02/2023 06:41

Hearing aid battery...
Ball bearing.... Both required A&E....

Mermaidpool · 27/02/2023 06:54

A snail

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 27/02/2023 07:47

My Dbro liked eating woodlice, after they’d rolled themselves into nice little crunchy balls.

gettingolderbutcooler · 27/02/2023 08:26

Ginsters pasty. 😔

Shlomping1234 · 27/02/2023 08:55

My ds ate a giant snob from his baby sister's nose 🤢 It was huge and brown like a toffee, he ate it while I was getting a tissue. Still enjoys his own snobs at 10 🤣
Dd2 ate a live mealworm while I was tong feeding our gecko 🤢

mondaytosunday · 27/02/2023 09:12

My neighbours toddler ate her own poo. Stuck her hand down her nappy and before anyone could stop her she put it in her mouth! No adverse affects but I was about 12 at the time and am 60 now and I can still see it 🤮

stbrandonsboat · 27/02/2023 10:21

A bluebottle. I found two of its legs stuck to his lips.

Heartsandbirds · 27/02/2023 10:26

When DS was about 2 he had a wee on the floor then got down on his hands and knees to lick it up “because he wanted to be like the dogs” 🙄

HesDeadBenYouCanStopNow · 27/02/2023 10:46

My baby sucked a decapitated dead mouse the cat fed to him whilst I was washing my hands having changed his nappy.

He was crying and the cat must have tried to help. The cat was sat next him as pleased as punch for helping 🤢

Babies and adult now with no negative effected but it was gross 🤢🤮

HeadsShouldersKneesAndMyGreatAuntsWalkingStick · 27/02/2023 11:48

Wow these are amazing!

I'd freak out so much if DC ingested a silica gel pack because of those DO NOT EAT warnings on them but kind of good to know they're harmless.

The poo eating 😂🤢🙈
