Will you wait with me for my pregnancy test results?

Hi mumsnetters!

I have been feeling quite nauseated lately and my periods were due yesterday. They're usually very punctual.

My husband is out shopping and will bring back a pregnancy test with him.

Will you wait with me?
Time seems to have slowed down

Are you okay?

It could be negative if it’s quite early and it’s later on in the day.. what sort of test did he get? I would do one with first morning urine x

He got asdas own brand
That's a good idea! I'll try again in a couple of days

Well hey OP, if you've tested slightly too early, then who knows - maybe you'll get some exciting results in due course.

If not, then like you said, it's not the best time for you, as it feels slightly soon - so if the next test is negative, it's also not bad news.

Either way sounds like a win if you think about it x

My heart stopped a little when you said your DH was checking out, then I got the contextBlush

I think I understand the mixed emotions. I hope the future brings you the result you want.

I shall wait too. Fwiw, i have a 17 month gap between my two. The small age gap meant i usually got a lunchtime nap when they were both napping! They're 12 & 11 now and it's generally easy finding things they'll both do rather than catering for different ages, and most of the time, they get on brilliantly xx

I used to do the same, 18 months between my 2. My SIL had 3 in 34 months.

kateandme · 26/02/2023 06:50

you natural body went into sorting mode.so of course part of you was already getting ready for what mght have needed to come next. so you would have had a foot in both camps so to speak.its only natural then how your now feeling.perfectly ok.
i hope you are ok though.
let yourself feel whatever you need to today. this stuff is big to go through with the old emotions. they kick in straight from the missed period!

Razberryberet · 26/02/2023 10:20

I'd test again in a day or two if AF doesn't arrive. If you are pregnant don't panic I had 17 months inbetween mine and it wasn't too bad they are best friends 99% of the time and are into the same things. If you aren't pregnant you have more time to prepare for the next one.

Nellyfant · 27/02/2023 06:42

Hi all!

I still haven't got my periods so I did as suggested and got this result. Is this invalid or positive?

Thank you

what do the instructions say

Nellyfant · 27/02/2023 06:46

kateandme · 27/02/2023 06:45

what do the instructions say

To put it under a stream of urine for 5 seconds or to leave it in urine in a container for 20 seconds. I did the latter

Nellyfant · 27/02/2023 06:47

Just unsure because of all the other lines there are

OP posts:
Tairbear · 27/02/2023 06:50

To me that looks like a early positive.. I believe I see a faint line

Shutupyoutart · 27/02/2023 06:51

It does look a bit flooded but I can see a second line there.

Nellyfant · 27/02/2023 06:53

Would there be a second line if it was invalid?

OP posts:
kateandme · 27/02/2023 06:54

to me it could easily be void. id do another. you cant tell, therefore you dont know and need to do one so you get the conclusive( for the test) answer

PurBal · 27/02/2023 06:54

I think I’d read that as positive but I’d also take another test to be sure. How are you doing?

I'll do just that. Been feeling a bit under the weather and getting stomachaches but then I'm thinking it might also just be pre-menstrual symptoms

Could be an evap but think they are usually more common in blue dye tests. I think it looks positive op but like someone else said do another one to know for sure. Hope you get the result you want x

It has dried a little bit, I removed the case as it was too wet
I'll also nip to the store later on to confirm it
