Prices won't be going back down again...will they?

Seems to be a lot of "grin and bear it" or "things will get better" posts around but I'm wondering if this is it now?

Our shopping has jump up so much, a lot more than the 12% or so they say shopping has gone up. I'm not going to go into Tesco one day and be surprised that my shopping is £50 cheaper am I?

Likewise my electric has gone up from £100 in a month in 2021 to £330 a month in Feb 2023. That's not ever going to go back to the lower price.

So is this it now? Is life going to be pretty shit in the long run with little chance for most people to enjoy themselves?

I'm not sure wages will start to rise above inflation. They haven't done for the last decade, so why would they start doing so now?

Jobs in my profession have barely moved salary in 10 years.

Eg, I was on £32k in 2010 and I see jobs at that level advertised mid 30s tops. And this is in the North. In London maybe 5k more but this is for a professional (degree plus chartership) job that you'd need not only the qualifications but at least a few years work experience as the marketplace is competitive.

I don't know where all the money being made is going but its certainly not to the ordinary (wo)man!
