It’s the little things isn’t it?

DP and I have to go and run a few errands today, he was finishing getting dressed and I was making the bed. I said “I’m goi g to have a quick shower before we go” and he nodded, walked into the bathroom and turned the shower on for me so it was running warm when I got in there.

It’s such a little thing but he does a lot of little things and they add up to much, much greater than any big gesture.

Any other examples of ‘little things’?

It is absolutely the little things isn't it ❤️

My dh gets home from work just before me, by the time I get home he has a hot brew waiting for me. He stands at the front door when he sees me on the street so I don't have to open it and takes off my coat and hangs it up.
Every evening he runs me a hot bath before bed so that I don't have to get up to do it.
He saves programs I'd like to watch together.
He always holds my hand when we sit on the sofa at night watching TV (we're in our 50's not young )
He washes up every night because I mostly cook.
He does all the ironing because he knows I hate it. In fact he does all the housework jobs that I don't like.
He's my best friend.

He makes me a cup of tea every morning. He cooks 80% of our meals. He loads the dishwasher every night and the washing machine every morning. At the weekends he gives the kids breakfast so I get a lay in, then runs me a bath to start my day, when I get out he moisturises my legs, as I have a bad back and it's an uncomfortable bend. He's amazing

Definitely the little things. At work I got sympathetic head nods as didn’t reduce flowers or a card for Valentine’s Day (we have never celebrated it, just not “us”).

However, he would do ANYTHING for me. There have been so many little things over our 17 years that I forgot a lot but one that sticks out is that I was miles from home and filled up my car with diesel before realising I had picked up the wrong bag without my purse. DH did a 40 mile round trip to pay for my diesel, didn’t complain and has never “reminded” me of my mistake.
