Any Harry Potter fans? Can you tell me your favourite scene from each book please.

Sorry, I know its a lot to ask.

I've never read or seen any of them (just never got around to it) but I'm doing some fore edge painting on the books as a gift for someone and she is a huge fan.

Can you please tell me the best/most important/ your favourite scenes from each book please? She absolutely adores Harry potter and I really want to get this right for her (and don't have time to read the books or watch the films before her birthday now).

Since the recipient is a massive fan, probably better to include scenes from the books, not the film. Fawkes has already left Hogwarts on the night of Dumbledore's death, well before the funeral and the final scene.

She collects everything HP, from the films and the books, I also checked with DS who said that she would love this, I have customised some shoes for DS and she has made numerous comments about loving personalised things so I'm as confident as I can be she will like it.

Thank you for all the advice, if I had time I would have read the books first, but I've only got a few weeks, and fore edge art takes ages as you have to build the paint up gradually and let it dry between times so it doesn't bleed into the pages (have done this a few times before and learned the hard way).

@skywalkersweetie I'm not sure what your question is. Do you have a problem with the films or not? Assuming you don't: I'm not saying 'massive fan' is incompatible with liking the films, but it probably is incompatible with enjoying a scene from the film which is not in the book painted on to the book. The books and the films are different, you can love both. What you probably won't like is the book being decorated with something that isn't in it. Like if I bought a copy of Goblet of Fire and the cover illustration was Crouch present with Voldemort and Wormtail in the Riddle House at Frank Bryce's murder, I would think it was all kinds of wrong, but I don't object to that scene in the film since they obviously have to condense material to make it fit and they can't have the long confession under verita serum from Crouch which reveals that he only knew about Voldemort's return much later, after the Quidditch World Cup. It's fine for the film, not fine for the book.

My favourite book is the Prisoner of Azkaban and scene us when Harry is in the forest when he uses his patronus across the lake.

I'd agree with this! Always annoyed me that they left Peeves out - especially the scene in book 5 when Fred and George made their incredible escape to p-off Umbridge, and Peeves salutes them and carries on the chaos.

When they're casting spells to protect hogwarts in book 7. Gives me goosebumps in the film when Mcgonagall says to the statues "do your duty"

If I were her I’d love character pics, like Dumbledore’s funeral or Dobby’s, Harry looking out of his window the first night at hogwarts, the train scene first year, Harry and Sirius riding buckbeak
