My daughter started using Olaplex several months ago, her hair has never been in such bad condition, it is dreadful, dry, brittle and a lot of hair loss, she never even considered it might be caused by Olaplex, but now with this report, it looks like she could also be one of those users who have actually damaged their hair by using this product.

Anyone else have a poor outcome when using it?

It made my hair so dry that I stopped using it.

I use number 3 once a month and it makes
My hair so smooth and soft. I use number 6 once a week when I blow dry and it helps with frizz a lot.

As far as I’m aware the ingredient in olaplex that’s causing a problem is banned in the EU. It’s only users in the USA that are having issues with it. I’ve been using olaplex 6 for years, when I blow dry my hair with no issue. Although, the Philip Kingsley elasticised is really good but I use it only once a week.

My daughter bought hers in Europe and her hair was severely damaged from it, so not only USA users having problems. I found a facebook page with thousands of people reporting issues, some of which are really extreme, a lot of the users are from the UK.

She has now dumped Olaplex and bought some new products and is hoping her hair will recover without having to do a drastic cut.
