I just had lots of kids to watch, lots of different type and size pizzas to rotate with only 1 small oven, time frame to keep to for pick ups.
I just thought it would be helpful to ask to make my life easier. Lesson learnt!

You were right though.

I mean seriously. How do people cope with life? It's cheese on toast with some stuff on top.

correct

ironhelp · 14/02/2023 15:39

@IloveRickyGervaisAndHisTeeth I don't cope with life. I've explained that

You learn to cook it till it's the way you want it. Some like their food / pizza softer than others. Plus, I cook the same pizza for a different number of minutes every single time.

picklemewalnuts · 14/02/2023 15:48

@ironhelp don't feel obliged to hang around here reading and replying. You've managed the situation now. All you'll get is people who haven't read the thread or noticed the time telling you how you ought to know how to cook the pizza you've already eaten!

Give yourself time off for good behaviour, and hide the the thread 🤪

flutterbyebaby · 14/02/2023 15:52

I could cook allsorts in my 20s but never cooked cabbage, got teased by my friends family for asking how. We all start somewhere

ironhelp · 14/02/2023 15:52

@picklemewalnuts I'm going to take your advice. Didn't realise I can hide my own thread! Thanks!

I have forgotten to remove the cardboard base before! Just glad it wasn't made of polystyrene 🤣

I've done that too!

@picklemewalnuts I'm going to take your advice. Didn't realise I can hide my own thread! Thanks!

I tried to give you genuinely useful life advice based on your actual anxieties around food poisoning etc. (which I understand).

It is not a good idea to rely on instructions over and above your own senses. This won't be the last time that you encounter a situation like this.

Whatever...

ColdOne · 14/02/2023 18:23

Imagine having to be a total cunt to someone asking a question like this. What do you get out of it? Are you all pleased with yourself for baking someone feel shit? Yes, some people have struggles which you can’t even imagine.

OP, if you can cope with lots of 6 year olds at a play date, you’re doing ok. Ignore the cunts.

💐

I sent myself a link to this earlier as didn't have time to respond. PP are correct, 180 for 12-15 mins. Basically there are mainly three temperatures to cook food at. 180 is generally for baking e.g pizza, baked pots, quiches. 200 is for things that need more crisping e.g. chips. 160 is for warming up things that have already been cooked e.g. leftovers. How long depends on how thick they are usually, so pizzas are thin and don't need long. Baked potatoes are huge and need up to 90 mins.

The posters giving you a hard time should be ashamed of themselves and should really apologise to you. Their behaviour would better suit a classroom than a supposedly supportive Internet forum.

Hope the pizzas came out OK.

180 for 15-20 mins

This. If in doubt, it's always 180

Emmamoo89 · 14/02/2023 18:59

Ignore the arseholes

plumduck · 14/02/2023 19:02

Not being funny but take the cardboard off first

gogohmm · 14/02/2023 19:03

10-12 mins at 200 degrees preheat the tray

Only saying this coz they used to do microwave ones where you kept cardboard there

I swear ovens only need a 180 setting
