You’re so cynical. They just got a bit lost. Total accident.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 12/02/2023 09:59

I think Sam Smith should be careful, he could be mistaken for another balloon.

I just so want to hear how the car size object was flying, apparently it wasn’t a balloon and was a cylinder. Surely, that deserved capturing and studying it? we have never made a cylinder float! 😁🤷🏻‍♀️

They’re giant willies being waved. Because that’s what that is; Willy waving.

I said that the other day over pictures of Sunak/Macron/Putin
"Willie waving is what's going to finish this planet off"
However we go somehow Willie waving w

DaisyDoo09 · 12/02/2023 14:16

Just read there’s one in china also.

JaneJeffer · 12/02/2023 15:08

the mysterious discs were said to be blowing in the wind
The answer my friend...

JaninaDuszejko · 12/02/2023 15:13

All that said one possibility for what is going on is the Chinese (if it is them) are simply mischief making...

If they are going to do that then I was an amusing message painted on the side please.

species5618 · 12/02/2023 15:14

One of the ones over USA was reported to be over 30 house stories high - not exactly hard to spot. How do you steer balloons and make them hover over one spot?

greenspaces4peace · 12/02/2023 17:42

each one of the rockets used/needed to shoot down these balloons is mega pricey

JaneJeffer · 12/02/2023 17:49

People always said if the public became aware of UFO's there would be mass hysteria but there's barely a peep about these objects!

Well it's true that they are certainly not cheap but OTOH fighter pilots do ( or certainly did) get a very limited number of real missile to fire over their careers for training and also when a missile gets to it's life expiry date (use by date) it gets scrapped...

If it so happens that this balloon busting counts against the pilot's training requirement and the fired round is one that was about to scrapped anyway there's no real increase in spending.

I thought the 73 was a double decker?

I'm surprised there's not been a thread before. I do hate all this willy waving.

Wagsandclaws · 12/02/2023 19:30

Dh said a senator had said that they were balloons.

Not sure myself and why announce it ? They usually don't.

Why use a balloon when everyone is already watching each other via satellite?

More detail with a balloon
