I genuinely can't remember the last time I laughed so hard until I couldn't breathe. Life has become so dull and serious 😞

OP posts:

Tonight, with my wife. We do entertain each other.

LubaLuca · 08/02/2023 20:17

This evening, my husband did an impression of Mr Bumble from Oliver! after hearing Richard Osman attempt it.

CycleshoeLOL · 08/02/2023 20:17

Yay @Igotthegoose . It's not just me. 😊

Last week at a thread on here where someone thought that Barry was a short version of Barold.

I have no idea why I found this so funny, but it made me weep (yes, really)

I belly laugh

  1. with DH mostly (once we were on the floor looking at a thread he was on where the OP asked about straightening his pubes with hair straighteners and people were saying wtf mate)
  2. with my kids (DD very good mimic and funny). Out and about my youngest shouts dot com randomly and ninja. I don't know why but it makes me laugh.
  3. on MN (which is a godsend) there are some very funny posters.

Everyday at work, my colleagues and I have the best fun and the best sense of humour. We belly laugh daily!!

My workplace (a school) used to be like that. The staffroom could be hilarious at lunchtime and we could go back to work happy and refreshed. Then there was a change of management and the school became an Academy and everyone was too depressed. I retired but I've heard now nobody even goes in there. They just grab a sandwich in their classroom and work

Last week when dh and I were driving our 10 year old ds home from school and asked him what he had done at break time. He said he had climbed up the pole to the top of the basketball hoop as he wanted to sit in it and see the view. He amazingly got all the way up there and got his foot stuck in the net and was stuck up there for 15 minutes. We were telling him off in the car for climbing up there absolutely crying with laughter with tears running down our face. This is the kind of thing that only happens to our child, goodness knows how he managed it!

hellobethyname · 08/02/2023 20:22

Last week at work - I was reading something and whoever had written it had put that a "welfart check" was needed instead of welfare .

I lost it completely. I sounded like muttley....I could speak 😂. Dunno why it tickled me that much but I was a gonna for about 5 mins and I could stop for long enough to try and tell anyone what I was hysterical over 😂

doozledog · 08/02/2023 20:23

Lastnight, went on cheating husbands' amazon account, and he's been looking at male masturbators!!!!!! Looks like the OW isn't as up for it as she once was 🤣🤣🤣

ironhelp · 08/02/2023 20:23

@speciall I had commented about the dad singing John legend. But yes the hat scene too!! 🤣

ItsCalledAConversation · 08/02/2023 20:24

Aww Sorry OP. Mine’s about half an hour ago.

Me: when we played tig as kids, what did we call homie/base/safe?
DBro: We never had a safe base when we’re kids. We played tig hardcore back in the day.

It really tickled me for some reason. We’re now in our 40s so it felt funny to be talking about playing.

SunsetStrip · 08/02/2023 20:25

I laugh like that most days. Today was DH, yesterday was DS, at the weekend it was DD. They're proper proper funny.

speciall · 08/02/2023 20:27

@ironhelp yeah, Some scenes are hilarious in this movie

FenghuangHoyan · 08/02/2023 20:27

I laughed a few times today at work and with my partner. Last time I had tears of laughter was probably watching something on TV last year. I remember something making laugh until I ached.

I also remember the first time in watched The Play That Goes Wrong. My stomach was hurting by then end of that.

Smartiepants79 · 08/02/2023 20:29

About 10 minutes ago at something my youngest said.
Been lucky enough to laugh several times today. 30 year sixes may be hard work but they’re also pretty entertaining.

itsgettingweird · 08/02/2023 20:30

Today.

I was supervising lunch hall and eating a biscuit I had in my pocket.

One of the pupils put their hand up and then proceeded to tell me I shouldn't be eating whilst standing up as it's a school rule 🤣🤣

I sat at the table and have them a sticker for following school rules Grin

thefactsarefriendly · 08/02/2023 20:32

Oh, when I was teaching I had the absolute best laughs in the staffroom with brilliant colleagues. Mind you, the kids were hilarious too.

I've just remembered what my wife and I were laughing about earlier. She said she had some gold (a tiny amount!) stashed away in the house, and we reflected it would be unfortunate if she forgot where it was. So I said I could fashion her a gold tooth out if it if she liked, and she nodded and tapped the front tooth and we just creased up thinking how hideous that would be.

ilovebagpuss · 08/02/2023 20:33

I don't laugh every day but I have a good laugh a few times a week. Usually my DD 16 and I find something funny in the car or say something that tickles the other one.
Funny reels are good for a giggle.
My DH sometimes does an unexpected one liner at something on the tv or news that has me in hysterics.
I miss my old colleagues we used to have a team that just had so much fun as well as working hard, that's gold when it happens.

bumblefeline · 08/02/2023 20:34

At work today, me and my colleague are like a couple of school kids, I only have to look and her and I laugh, normally the butt of our jokes is our boss who doesn't realise how funny he is.

Bikeybikeface · 08/02/2023 20:36

About an hour ago, my OH and I were watching This Is 40 and one scene was very very close to a recent situation we’d been in and we cried laughing at it.

Booooot · 08/02/2023 20:36

Everyday with my husband. He’s got the best sense of humour and is genuinely funny.

CampervanKween · 08/02/2023 20:39

This evening. We've been watching The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent on Amazon Prime. Nicholas Cage and Pedro Pascal. Absolutely hilarious 🤣 haven't laughed so much in ages. Really would recommend plus its set in Majorca so the scenery is beautiful 😍

Parisj · 08/02/2023 20:40

A thread on here last week gave me the giggles for a ridiculously long time and my book had me shaking with laughter a few times earlier. Not sure I do belly laughs.

chocolateisavegetable · 08/02/2023 20:44

A few minutes ago - watching Would I Lie To You

margaritawithaM · 08/02/2023 20:47
