Best/comfiest black tights that don't dig in and make you look like a sausage??

Where do people buy decent tights from these days?

I wear both and I wear tights every day of the year as I wear dresses all year round.

What, even in summer @PearlHeart?

They have charts explaining. Though on their FB page people do ask and they respond.

Yeah summer is no exception. I maybe switch to snag footless tights or a lower denier for a little more airflow.
Or I will switch to chin rubs or cut down old snags under longer maxi dresses!

I never got on with Snag, tried 3 sizes and they all slipped down, crap quality and crap customer service.

Got recommended Better tights on here (after moaning about Snag ) so I bought some and they are wonderful! And cheaper!

@Snugglemonkey i’ve looked at the charts but whilst I’m right in the middle of the height band i’m more a 10/12 than an 8/10 or 12/14 and I’ve no idea if I’m athletic or curvy (based on most of the photos of the models they used I’m practically an Olympic athlete) which puts me anywhere between an A/B or C or maybe D???

You can message them. I would go with 8/10 and athletic then, unless you have a Kardashian type bum, but worth checking with them. The first time I got the wrong size, they gave me the alternate size.

I used to buy snag but refuse now because of their shitty virtue signalling to men in tights.

I had a look on their website as a result of this thread and am actually put off by the lack of diversity in the models. I know they want to be inclusive, but I would actually like to see some of their producst modelled in a 12/14 as well.

Incidentally, has anyone tried their leggings?

I have never tried Snag so maybe I’m missing out but M&S 100 denier supersoft tights are great. Thick and stretchy and last for ages. Maybe it depends what size you are - I’m size 12 and buy a large.

@emmathedilemma I'd go with the C - the A/B is tiny.

I'm an 8/10 as well but with a bloated tum and the C is super comfy, stays put.

I bought 2 pairs of Snag and ended up selling them on Ebay. Didn't see what all the fuss was about....weren't comfortable, and found them not thick enough. I like M&S 200 denier.

I thought snag tights were poor quality and where the waist band hit it emphasised my stomach and made me look pregnant. On the other hand the waist band of heist tights flattens my tummy and doesn’t give me love handles. Expensive but worth it, will never buy tights from anywhere else again (their bras and shaper pants are rubbish though)

Everyone always recommends Snag. I just didn't get on with them.

I bought a pair in Tesco. I think they were called fleece tights... they are really Cody but not sweaty hot, don't fall down, long enough for my legs. I love them.

Although, my granny always told me to buy tights one size up from what you would normally wear and wear a pair of knickers on top. I live by this rule.

(Also, if anyone knows me on here... yes, it is me) I preach this all the time.

Snag 100%

I currently get tights from Boots, the stretchy 100 denier ones in extra large (I'm a size 16). Unfortunately they are extremely hard to source as I can never find them in any stores.

Based on the zillions of recommendations on this thread for Snag, I'm going to order some from there. I must admit from the advertising I've seen, I thought they were for ladies over size 20, so I had never even thought to look there previously.

Wow. A lot of love for expensive Snag. I’ve bought a three pack of Primark tights from Amazon for £15. They’re possibly cheaper in Primark itself. They are so comfy and never dig in even after I’ve eaten a large lunch. Soft and look nice.

Another for snag. Don’t cut in. So comfy. Don’t fall down. I am just about to put an order in for a lower denier for when the weather gets slightly better. Also lost some weight so need to move down a size.

I have lost a stone since Christmas and my snag tights fit well, before and after.

They have washed really well. Definitely worth the extra money.

Can snag tights be washed easily? Do you put them in the washer?

Snag. I normally hate tights but I actually like wearing these.

I washed mine in the machine and they bobbled after a few washes

I also have these and love them. Comfortable and stay in place.

I've bought snag tights before after reading all the rave reviews but found them uncomfortable & a bit thin/weird. Bought dd a couple of pairs for school & both got holes in after one wear!
So my advice is to try them (because most people seem to love them) but only buy one or two pairs in case you don't like them. I thought they were really expensive for the quality.
I recently bought some tights from seasalt & they're lovely. I agree with pp that it's best to size up.
