If your child is not at school?

They have been set a days work with strict instructions to complete. I have 3 primary aged dc all at different levels. They cannot complete the work without my help. Eldest can do the work themselves but won't unless I help.

They have all already woke up early and tried to play video games. I've turned the games off and said we will get some fresh air, then come home and do school work, then they can play their games.

They are not happy about it and blaming me.

Today is going to be a struggle.

No it's not and there is no 'registered as homeschooled' 😂

You're supposed to let the school know if you're planning to homeschool. There are plans to fine parents who don't register their children as homeschooled. www.theguardian.com/education/2022/feb/03/parents-in-england-who-fail-to-register-home-schooling-could-face-sanctions

I must say regardedles of whether one agrees or disagree with the striker I'm amazed some pp.are making a link between children doing work and solidarity with strikers?

I'm not seeing that link?

@Floofyduffypuddy, teachers are withdrawing their labour thus no work should be provided for their classes nor should any work be marked.

SezFrankly · 01/02/2023 21:58

Bollocks to that. How can you go on strike and demand an unqualified person walks across your virtual picket line and does the work you were suppose to. Ridiculous ask.

LJordan23 · 01/02/2023 23:51

Why are you against striking?
