I am.

Can’t really afford to be on strike, but also can’t afford not to.

Me, changed unions

Well Done. That was the logical thing to do I feel for teachers who support the strike.

Mimilamore · 31/01/2023 21:28

Right behind all those who are striking.. enough is enough xxx

McSleepy · 31/01/2023 21:35

Not a teacher, but like others wanted to show my support for those who are striking. Hope the government come to their senses!

Me. 53,been teaching years. went down to 4days this year as couldn't cope anymore with the excessive workload.use my day off to work so can have weekends free. Am fed up of juggling. Pain u can't get a cup of tea at break or a decent break at dinner time- time restrictions. .I'm single and live alone hat's off to those of u who look after your own children too.

As a working parent of primary age DC the strikes are of course an inconvenience to me. However I fully support you all.

Colourinsidethelines · 31/01/2023 22:26

I’m an ex teacher, I would be striking if I was still there! I support anyone striking currently, enough is enough.

Beaverbridge · 31/01/2023 22:29

Retired now, but would be on strike if still worked. Hope all are successful.

RevealTheHiddenBeach · 31/01/2023 22:34

OneSecond · 31/01/2023 22:39

DoesItMakeYouFeelBetter · 31/01/2023 22:45

Me

Shinyandnew1 · 31/01/2023 22:49

Yes-I’m striking, too. 100% of my school’s teachers are NEU and all are striking.

Batcountry8 · 31/01/2023 22:53

My offspring gets to miss 17 days of learning at uni.

Last term of last year.

Offspring's mental health is shot.

Yes I know the reasons for striking.

Offspring hasn't even got bloody degree yet, and hey may not get good marks in the modules thru lack of teaching.

Had enough.

@SheSeemsToHaveAnInvisibleTouch the civil service are striking for a few things, pay (tens of thousands of civil servants are now paid so little after years of no payrise and will only get one in April as otherwise they would be below minimum wage) pension contribution, job security and cuts to redundancy packages.
