They are newborn to 2 years. Would you buy them and if so may I ask how much you would pay.

I'd only pay for the pink one - bottom right. And probably only about £5.

AtticusFrost · 30/01/2023 15:45

I really like these and I like the contrasting colours.

MysteryBelle · 30/01/2023 15:45

I think they’re adorable and yes you could sell them if you wanted to.

Block them, then photograph them again when they've been pulled into shape. The photo isn't doing them any favours but might do once they're holding their shape.

As someone with a pram baby. The ones the hospital gave me were a lifesaver.

However I would never buy anything like this out of choice. I find knitted clothing very old fashioned

AtticusFrost · 30/01/2023 15:55

I had no idea that proper wool knitted baby clothes are seen as old fashioned.

My prem newborn had lots of lovey knitted items like this from NICU made by many kind people.

They weren’t itchy at all.

So did mine ,his hats were the biggest thing about him 🤣

florentina1 · 30/01/2023 16:16

By sheer co-incidence just after I posted, my friend called round, she manages a Sue Ryder shop. I showed them to her as ‘dolls hats’ and she has taken them.

I think a blanket for cat’s protection is a good idea . It is all wool left over from my toy making during lock down

As people have said, if they were in very muted colours (beige, cream, light grey) I think they would sell pretty well. Boring colours are in fashion right now even on kids, which is kind of sad in my opinion!

AtticusFrost · 30/01/2023 16:23

Kids should not be wearing boring muted colours!

Are they? Primark is full of neon pink, green, and blue at the moment. You need sunglasses to go in there.

They're lovely!

XenoBitch · 30/01/2023 16:27

Have a look at fiddle blankets. You can use wool scraps and things like old zips, buttons, laces etc to make them. They are great for people with dementia.

Couldn't agree more. It's nonsense anyway, nobody dresses their tiny baby in shades of sludge. Fashionable, my arse!

RackJussells · 30/01/2023 16:31

I personally like them, but I would prefer “softer” colours/tones.

I do like that little blue one on the left hand side. As long as they were comfortable for my baby, I would buy them at £1-2, but if it was for a charity I’d go to £3/£3.50 tops.

Hope that helps :)

Poppins2016 · 30/01/2023 16:32

It depends what they're made out of and how they're finished. I'd probably pay £5 for the pink hat on the far left and the pink hat with the bow. Maybe £2-3.50 for the others.

It really depends on your market... My children wear hats similar to some of these (that were made for them) and I think they're gorgeous.

TheOrigRights · 30/01/2023 16:33

They're sweet, OP and if I had found myself wandering around the craft market with my newborn I might have bought one.
Better still would to be able to get one to match a particular outfit, or to use colours which mean something to me.

However, my children are now 13 and 23 (unless my 23yo hasn't told me something) there are no newborns in my life.

Kenworthington · 30/01/2023 16:36

I wouldn’t purely for the colours as pp have mentioned. I’d they were peachy colours/sand/taupe/greige then yes I’d prob be all over them and you could charge a premium

Don’t waste them on cats when neonatal babies need them.

caringcarer · 30/01/2023 16:40

I'm not keen on them.

Pinkpaw · 30/01/2023 16:43

Perfect for dolls!

AmIreallyBeverly · 30/01/2023 16:45

There is lots of traditional (old fashioned?) knitted baby stuff but there are also some very modern, funky designs too. It can be a bit difficult to find the modern stuff but it's definately there so don't just dismisss hand knitted items. 😊

CatchHimDerry · 30/01/2023 16:48

You’d be surprised!

I buy and sell on Vinted and had some very random patterned ones I didn’t like for DS, all sold for a few pounds!

Worth a go isn’t it x

AmIreallyBeverly · 30/01/2023 16:48

Eg this is owl jumper adorable (and if you can do cables, you can do this OP)

Very cite but not commercial enough to sell.
