Is it really awful to have a day in bed?

I work full time, kids all grown.
Cleaned house and shopped yesterday but did sit around late afternoon reading.
this morning DH is pottering downstairs, I’m still in bed reading. DH has no problem with this (brings me a tea every now and again) I’m lovely and warm (no heating on in the house), dog tucked up alongside me.

Why can’t I just relax and enjoy without feeling guilty that I should be DOING something constructive.

Someone make me feel ok about being in bed at this time of day please!

I’d love a duvet day, the best thing is having a duvet day then going downstairs in the evening and having a takeaway! I have children so I cannot possibly have a duvet day until 2032

It's awful to feel awful about it. Revel in it, enjoy it, rest and rejuvenation is so important. Greet Monday with added gusto after your duvet day. Ignore the people saying you must be depressed. That is such a ridiculous thing to say!
Some people relax by getting outside and pounding the pavement and others like to curl up with a book or their phone and rest their bodies. Both are doing your body good.

Rest time is not waste time, it is the economy to gather fresh strength!

Enjoy every minute!
