I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day. Not in silence today - the washer's on already to get the couple of wash loads there are done & dusted for the weekend.

I'll wake dd2 soon-ish. We're heading into town to finish birthday shopping for dd1, who was a bit put-out that she can't come with us 🤷‍♀️ I need to pick up a couple of other bits too.

When we get back, I want to undo the latest round of the blanket I've started for myself; I realised after spending an hour on it last night that four pairs of stitches are in slightly the wrong place <sigh>. I'll re-do it in front of the tv tonight.

Dd2 has science homework to do but other than that they did everything last night so the rest of the afternoon/evening should be fairly chilled.

I have no idea what's for tea yet. I think we've got pork loin steaks, mince, or sausages left in the freezer. I'll see what the girls say when they're up.

What about all of you? 🙂

So far this morning I’ve been to Slimming World (lost 5.5lbs!) Collected a parcel and returned some clothes to Next. Home now and had breakfast. I’m going to drop DP off at the garage to collect his car then I’ll be doing housework.

FIL is coming round to help DP with some DIY so I suppose I should make an effort to make the house a little presentable.

I’m working 2pm-10pm, I have a work to do list that gets longer every day but that’ll be put to the side today as I’m planning on making a chinese buffet for the dinner.

@Decafflatteplease yes, I've bought quite a bit on there. I find it good for stuff for work - doesn't matter if I get paint on a jumper I've only paid £2 for & it doesn't wash out well...today's jumper of choice is sporting a dry wipe marker smudge on the shoulder from where one of the children accidentally caught me🤣thankfully it has almost washed away.

Right so you'll already sort of know how it works and have some presumably good reviews as a buyer which I find helps 🙂 give it a whirl, I find uploading a few bits every couple of days gives you the most views etc rather than a whole load in one go. You can also set your account to holiday mode if you don't want to sell eg you have a busy week so wont be able to post.

Morning everyone. DP has gone shooting, DC is at grandmas and I have a free day to write a significant chunk of the essay due in on the 30th (student nurse). Therefore I'm buggering about on MN and FB and avoiding it.
But I have walked the dog though... 😂
Dinner tonight either toad in the hole or takeaway, depending on how the writing has gone!

I was up half the night with our youngest who has a fever and feels rough (3.5). This morning is a continuation - calpol, cuddles and far too much tv. My back is killing me from being a human sofa.

DS (2years) has been waking up at 5am all week and it's currently 6.30am and he's still snoozing which I'll take as a win! DH is also asleep so I've had a coffee on my own and in silence to start the day which is a rare treat.

DH will take him to soft play this morning whilst I go to the gym then out to the park this afternoon. We have a cold front passing over us at the moment and it's a chilly 23C so it's good to make the most of being outside without sweltering!

Good morning everyone, hopefully it will warm up a bit soon.

My son has a rugby match, so we’ve retreated to the van for a few minutes to warm up, our daughter has discovered the fridge in here so shes keeping herself entertained opening and closing that.

We’ve all got the dentist later, so we’re in for a fun filled day. Lazy evening tonight, zero plans.

Totally wasted the morning, lazing on sofa with the dog watching Friends.

Really f*cked up recently and feeling the consequences. Trying to get over something, can't stop thinking about it. Looking into therapy as I can see me repeating destructive patterns. Trying not to cry every 5 minutes. Only got myself to blame.

The dog seems happy enough though.

That absolutely isn't a waste of a morning! You likely needed the snuggles.

I hope you manage to soothe yourself and leave the regrets, whatever they might be, in the past where they belong. Flowers

I do enjoy these threads. I’m lying on the sofa with my third (?I think) cup of coffee after a huge lie in. I keep on reading chunks of my book, then fiddling on my phone, then going back to my book.

I might exercise but I might not. I might log on and catch up on a few bits of outstanding work… but I might not.

I will change the bedding and potter cooking a roast.

Nannyfannybanny · 21/01/2023 13:29

Laying on the sofa with a dog, feeling sorry for myself. Got a flare up of lichen sclerosis AND a bladder prolapse. In and out of the toilet very regularly. Did the white washing, got that outside. Batch cooked soups yesterday, did dark washing, changed bed,DH vaccumed and washed floors, before taking dogs on the beach. Some days,so much pain and soreness I can hardly walk! Got a glass of wine at the ready.

Tidy up Saturday- so laundry, tidying kids rooms with them being encouraged to do it, stripping bedding and planning food shop. All while doing lunch, breastfeeding twins etc.
I do love a saturaday sort out, makes me feel relaxed on Sundays as all housework done and ready for the week ahead.
