Have cream crackers disappeared?

I have been to three different supermarkets this week and none had any. Well I lie, ONE had Jacobs which are ££ and not superior IMO. They used to be everywhere?

I can make my own but It's never been worth it before as they were less than £1 a packet.

Is this the case where you live, or with anything other mainstream/commonplace products?

It's a nightmare. A little boy in DDs class has Arfid and all the school mums are adding a packet to their trolleys for his mum when we see them Sad

It does sound like this is causing problems for many of us. Strange how things trickle down. I don't blame workers for striking at all. I've found some in Lidl this morning and bought 3 packets, would have bought more but I was mindful of this thread, I won't be the only one in the area.

Just Aldi have them I've found. I refuse to pay over a quid for a packet of Jacobs crackers though. Just no.

If you were pregnant and they eased the nausea they'd be priceless. £1 seems reasonable

Cannot for the life of me find them anywhere at all!!!
Even in a multipack box thing

SuperGinger · 18/01/2023 13:27

Plenty here but I see they all contain palm oil. I've given up on bought biscuits and crackers.

DD takes crackers & philly in her lunch, except this term as local Asda has no crackers of any kind! We like the own brand flavoured ones, but any would do.

Cheese straws are a poor second choice.

Might try to make flavoured ones!

Thank you for the reminder-another reason to get more used to making my own!

I love jacob’s choice grain crackers - from memory approx 33 cal per cracker so a better way to aid a NY diet than resorting to lunchtime sarnies.
Not available for around for last 2 months, and extra unwanted inches too…doh!

Just watched the YouTube you linked op. First of all😍. Second, I wasn't expecting dairy, but where's the cream? None of the steps produced anything reminiscent of cream. I wonder if it's a hangover, like 'mince' in mincepies. Thirdly, I prefer waterbiscuits <runs away>.

Deathraystare · 18/01/2023 14:43

Ì have Deffo seen in a small Sainsburys and a Londis. Need to buy soon.

justasking111 · 18/01/2023 16:43

I'm buying those thins. But look at them and they crack into pieces

That fella seems lovely doesn't he?!

Well yes I thought the same-I found a lot of American recipes have cream as if they take 'cream cracker' literally. I don't think Jacobs etc have cream? I think it is a hangover.
