January charity shop bargains

I think everyone's had their post-Christmas clear-out as there was SO much new stock in my local charity shop this morning, spied Levi's, Jones the Bootmaker heels, Hobbs skirts etc. (Alas not my size.)

Just walked out with a Weird Fish zip up hoody. Immaculate condition. £2. Perfect for dog walking!

Anyone else found any good bargains so far this month?

A vintage (1960) G-Plan sideboard in good condition for £150. It’s so lovely.

@triggers34 Ooh that is a good price! Mine was £15 I think!

A true bargain

Gorgeous quirky French Connection dress for work from new high end charity shop.

Worn it once, very happy, then spotted the "dry clean only" label and now I need to decide whether to risk machine washing it: wish me luck.

Just remembered that the jumper I'm wearing today is a chazza special from a couple of weeks ago: grey pure wool cable-knit from M&S menswear - less than a tenner and goes with everything.

A cost for next winter for DD1, perfect condition, £1.49, and a full body swim suit for DD 2 for 99p, again perfect condition! Sadly my local ones very rarely have anything good for little boys, so DS often gets missed out 😢

A Jospeh coat for £6!

Shannith · 05/02/2023 17:19

And 2 brand new pairs of Rick Owen merino joggers for £5. The Fold dress for £10.

My charity shops are beyond awesome.

Niftythrifter · 05/02/2023 17:21

@Shannith ooh I got a Joseph coat for around £8 a few weeks back! angora and wool at that price. Bargain!

Not charity shopping but I was in Sainsbury's today and they had so much TU stuff that was 50%/70% off. I got a jumper, bag and some block heeled sandals (sandals perfect for a summer wedding we are going to) DH got a polo shirt. Whole lot for £29.

A mini air plant for my daughter and a joules scarf for me. No idea hiw much they were, because they were a charity shop gift from my mum, but she always bags bargains so wouldn't have been that much. Am really pleased with both.

Rodentsrock · 05/02/2023 17:28

@trtriggers34 I have satchel envy 😍

Vinorosso74 · 05/02/2023 17:30

I saw some lovely stuff in a charity shop this week but none of it was the right size for me 🙁

AuxArmesCitoyens · 05/02/2023 17:56

went to a clothes swap, came away with a good as new Reiss dress and a massive hooded sheepskin coat in exchange for some of DS's outgrown old jumpers!

AuxArmesCitoyens · 05/02/2023 18:00

check out this beast. Proper sheepskin

A pair of work trousers from cotton traders for £5.

Cherryana · 05/02/2023 18:39

Moncler jacket for £20.

They retail for £1000 and even on eBay in the same condition are around £250.

That was in a heart foundation shop- I guess they didn’t know what it was. Happily for me because it’s the warmest jacket I have ever owned!!

WolverineBlueyy · 05/02/2023 19:21

Lovely thick cream jumper from White Company, as good as new, £4.95 Smile

triggers34 · 05/02/2023 19:43

@AuxArmesCitoyens that's a lovely coat.
@Shannith I have charity shop envy, in fact from one of your other posts I'm trying to convince Dh we need a trip to your neck of the woods!
@Niftythrifter I don't think the shop noticed the brand as they're normally good at pricing.
