Happy new wordling 2023🎉
I'm setting this thread up now even though Part 11 isn't quite full yet but I've got a busy week ahead.

I also thought matey was a strange choice of word as it's slang. I think blurb is okay. I'm always surprised* when verbs come up. Last week leapt caught me off guard. *

Not so much verbs @FuzzyCaoraDhubh but past participles. It looks as though it never has regular past participles so ‘dated’ was a wasted guess on the ‘matey’ day.

That's true. How about today's word though? ;)

I get confused about what parts of speech are possible answers (as opposed to accepted guesses) . I also used dated on matey day. I wasn't sure about comparatives and think I tried an 'er' ending before matey which was probably another wasted guess.

It seems you can have comparatives. I suppose there aren’t many.

I normally find a 4 most enjoyable.

A 2 is lets be honest pure luck.
A 3 is too quick and bit lucky.
A 5 or 6 is squeaky bum time

I like that @BruceAndNosh especially squeaky bum time 😂. Personally 3 is my magic number as you can still do it with some skill and it's very satisfying when you do.

I like a skilled 3. Too easy and you feel a bit dirty. A 2 sometimes takes skill alongside the luck of good letters in the first line.
I've had 2 hole in ones so far. Now that's pure luck.

I'll never get it in 1 as I use the same starter word every day and it's THE most popular starter word so they are never going to use it!

I don't decide on my opener until the clock strikes midnight. And even then, I can be convinced I'm about to type 'given' and find myself filling in line 1 with 'zebra'. or 'dowdy'.
