Anyone got COVID and a very sore throat?

Have felt ill since Wednesday and tested positive yesterday. Feel pretty ropey but this sore throat is something else, I can’t swallow without pain unless I’m on painkillers. I’m on Strepsils and drinking lemon and honey to soothe it which helps. I’m on day 4 of this sore throat and I wish it’d bugger off! Anyone want to commiserate with me?!

My face blisters are impetigo according to GP. I have some antibiotic cream.

Throat still sore. Red spots on roof of mouth. Literally can't wait to be well again 🤦‍♀️ and hopefully for longer than a week 😂

Me too! Thought I was getting better but feel like I'm back to square one, still strong positive, exhausted by just existing at the moment. Very frustrating indeed. When I had my ear pain I sucked lockets all day and kept pinching my nose and blowing into my ears, maybe worth a try, it helped me. Wishing everyone positive getting better vibes x

I'll commiserate with you. I had Covid last Feb/Mar. The symptoms weren't bad except for the throat, which was the worst I've ever had. I had some spray from the nurse at the GP's but if anything it was worse with that. I found gargling with soluble aspirin to be the best thing. I could hardly swallow. I had to hold my throat with my hand when I wanted to swallow anything. It got better after quite a few days of it.
