Aikido is a martial art that focuses on self-defence without seriously injuring your attacker. There’s nothing wrong with “glorifying” such skills because it’s actually harder and takes more skill than simply being the most violent person. There’s nothing wrong with me describing the entirety of it, instead of focussing only on what a new beginner would learn.
Aikido is rare in that it does teach weapons defence skills. You were 100% incorrect by claiming otherwise.
There is no misrepresentation on my part here. I have only used plain English to describe some aspects as saying oh you’ll learn different nages, toris and doris blah blah would be extremely confusing as the terminology is all in Japanese.
As for your claiming aikido skills are such that “no sensible person would rely on outside books and films” …that’s a complete misrepresentation as there are tons of aikido specialists that train our Police on aikido skills are which are used in real life on the streets.
Actually, it’s quite plain you know nothing about Aikido at all.
