Looking for inspiration, with or without the kids

I have two sets of friends and their kids coming over. I am going to do games for the kids earlier in the evening. Later on we are having dinner for the grown ups, each family doing a course, play games, drink fizz and will probably stay up quite late.

We're going clubbing 😝💃
In the local social club, family disco, but still clubbing right?

Can't even remember the last time I went out on NYE (actually I think it was the Millennium Grin - that was special). I do like to stay up until midnight but DH usually slopes off early ... we have a long tapas style meal that can be eaten over a few hours, plenty of wine & champagne Cava and probably a film if we can agree on something together.

Being a taxi service by all accounts for my teens parties.. I'm happy, we've had lots of great parties and nights, so I'm happy to ferry the kids about for the next few years of NYE, they will both be gone soon.. then I can party again!

Probably similar - in 1999 we went with friends to the top of a local beauty spot to watch the last sunset. Then to the pub!

Couldn’t pay me to go to the pub now.

We're going to a family rave in South London with the DCs (age 4 and 8 months). It will be in the afternoon but they have a pretend 'midnight countdown' at 2pm. Proper acid house music and booze but also crafts, play doh and parachute games for the kids.

For the actual evening we'll do a normal bath and bed with the DCs and go to bed at a usual time for us. DH is usually in bed by 10pm and I always stay up past midnight anyway, but I'll end up doing boring normal stuff (like sorting out my accounts) although I'll put the TV on for the fireworks.

Party with friends and all the kids. Each guest brings a difference course for dinner. Lots of music and cocktails.

Out for a hike in the day. Friends coming round in the evening for dinner & games.
