Nicest and worst "standard" flavour soup?

Eg.

Tomato, cream of chicken, mushroom, vegetable etc

So in general 'one' main ingredient.

I'm not interested in your fancy schmancy curried butternut and red pepper soups or your lobster bisques ;)

Best: tomato
Worst: mushroom

Love when you go to a restaurant and ask what the soup of the day is and they say something awful and you have to pretend to have a think about it even though you know instantly that soup isn’t for you, then you “decide to go with something else” 😁

Just tomato or just chicken are best, cream of I despise.
Homemade chicken noodle or chicken pho is a favourite.

Tinned - tomato best, cream of vegetable worst
but I got a soup maker recently and a really simple homemade mushroom soup was sooooo nice. My attempt at chicken soup was 🤮 vom

Best- heinz cream of chicken, my go to poorly food.
worst- heinz vegetable, such a weird flavour.

This is too difficult because a good tomato soup is the best (like a proper home made roasted tomato thickened with rice or potato) but an over sweet Heinz or too thin supermarket budget one is so bad!

So I'm hedging my bets in case this is about bought soup and say minestrone which is hard to cock up as it can be so many things.

Any standard flavour soup.. home made, tinned, cheffy, whatever.

But just normal soup

Homemade French onion is hard to beat.
Tinned tomato with the metallic tang and far too much sugar is the worst.

Disclaimer - I don’t really do traditional when it comes to food. I’d I had no option but to choose a classic soup it’d be some sort of broth.
