Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just enjoying my first cuppa of the day, in silence. The only sound atm is the fridge humming to itself. I've been watching a pair of magpies on the roof opposite, but they've just flown away.

We're off to Sheffield Christmas market today, for a wander. I'm looking forward to choosing another candle from the Yorkshire Candle Company, and maybe a new glass bauble for my tree. The girls want fudge, which will, of course, cost several pounds for a couple of pieces 🙄

I want to look for something else for my dad for Christmas too.

Meadowhall on the way back, to pick up a couple of things dd2 has asked for from a shop there, for her birthday in 2 weeks.

We'll probably eat out - not sure what yet. Maybe something from the market, maybe something from the food court in Sheffield, we'll see.

Home this evening to chill & probably have an early night!

First, the washer needs to go on, and I need to get the girls up!

I opened this thread in bed this morning planning to contribute and then got distracted and have only just sat back down so am a bit late to the party!

We had my niece and nephew here for a sleepover last night so the kids all had a late night and a lie in. DS1 went to football training and DP and I took the dog for a nice long walk but DS2, DSD and DSS have all been slobbing around all day. DP and I are now watching the darts (we are going to Ally Pally on Monday) but need to move shortly as we are going to Christmas at Blenheim this evening. I’ve not been before but the pictures look stunning so I’m looking forward to it

My day turned into another day at home because our car broke down! :( not ideal in Cornwall

My cosy hibernation day pizza for tea dvds 0n all day in the winter I love this salted popcorn as well.

Took DD to dancing this morning then picked her up and went to the cinema to see Matilda (meh). We had lunch at McDonald’s and let DD burn off some energy in the play area. We’re both currently collapsed in bed, me mumsnetting and her on her iPad, but need to rally soon to pack and go to my mums for my sister’s birthday dinner. We’re staying the night which DD is very excited about, but means I am lacking a viable excuse for not drinking (5 weeks pregnant and not telling family yet)!
