-9 here. Big old draughty house, 4 out of 5 of us ill with colds/cough/sore throat, including a 2yo and 3mo. Heating is going to have to be in constant today to avoid further illness and frozen pipes.

Ooh! It's now only -7! And I have to go out. I have a pink face bandana thingy... somewhere!

Sounds like we have it good in Yorkshire at only -4.

My DP announced it was 'not that cold' when he got in from work at 8:30 this morning and his car didn't need defrosting.

I feel sorry for my poor fish in the pond as they decided November was an excellent time to have babies so the poor little things might freeze to death.

-7 in my car on the school run. Utterly grim I can't bear it

-2 this morn on my multiple school runs. On Sunday I burnt not sure how you would describe it other than a burn of sorts my face (I know how do you do that right?). I had a bright red painful face like sunburn and now peeling. Ended up with cold sores ontop of that. Just from being outside. Should have been more careful and worn SPF like I usually do.

Says 1 -4 on bbc weather. Not going out heating on in one room 19 degrees plus heated blanket.

have go to hairdresser for 6pm but toying with car or bus and then walk. Seeing friend for pub meal after hairdresser.

It was -8 for the school run but warmed up to -6 now. I have 1set of pipes which are susceptible to freezing so I left the heated airer on in the kitchen overnight and left the log burner burning as it's the only heat source in there.

MenopauseSucks · 15/12/2022 10:07

Inside my snug bedroom, it showed 13c at 1.30am - even when it's chilly it doesn't get below 16c. So I put the heating on for an hour which helped then I made sure the heating came on an hour before the usual time this morning.
Heavens knows what temperature it was outside!

IClaudine · 15/12/2022 10:17

Was -7 now -4. Freeeeeezing!

AuntieEntity · 15/12/2022 10:21

It was -8 when I walked DD to school this morning. -4 now. Left my gloves at home in the pre-school rush, so fingers are feeling pretty sore now!

RedToothBrush · 15/12/2022 11:31

It was - 7 here an hour ago. We are now up to the dizzying positively tropical - 4.

Franticbutterfly · 16/12/2022 08:45

-4, was -7.
