How cold is it by you?

-9 here. Big old draughty house, 4 out of 5 of us ill with colds/cough/sore throat, including a 2yo and 3mo. Heating is going to have to be in constant today to avoid further illness and frozen pipes.

My car this morning showed 3, but it feels colder. I’m in NI.

Don't know but both dc voluntarily put their big coats on for their walks to school so it must be cold. I'm sitting in the house, which is around 13°C, in thermals and PJs, underneath a blanket, with a woolly hat and snood on.

I lied about -9, I think the thermometer on the car had frozen or something because after a few minutes it was reading -12 😱

-7 and feels like -11. The snow we had on Sunday hasn’t melted at all yet as not got above freezing during the day. It was -5 at 11am yesterday.

Not been this cold here since the big freeze ~10 years ago.

-2 in Cornwall so usually a bit warmer than the rest of the country. Still bloody cold though!

Ice on the inside of the back door and it’s frozen shut. I wanted to bring the tuff tray in to do some
messy indoor activities with toddler dd but looks like that’s out the window until it warms up a bit to open 🙈

Pipes to the kitchen tap have frozen. Heating has been on.

-6 (SW London). Not been out yet, but I grew up in New England so don't mind the cold as long as I have somewhere warm to go to! Would love a bit more snow.

-9 in Cambridgeshire. Just back from a dog walk and my feet, fingers and face hurt despite being all wrapped up, ddog did t seem to mind though -made sure we were only out for about 30minutes.

-5 here but sunny, so hopefully it'll warm up a bit later. Think it was -9 overnight.

Greater Manchester: -9 this morning! Now -8. Glad I do t have to go anywhere!

It was -8° when I got in the car this morning, I defrosted it to take the kids to school and it was trying to freeze up again as I was driving!
It's starting to warm up now, it’s only -6° at the minute. 🥶
I can’t wait for Monday it’s expected to be a balmy 13°

Was -7 in my car this morning in Hertfordshire .

Mid wales. It was -9 first thing this morning. About -5 or 6 now. DD said has a sore throat and tummy this morning, so although I'm not glad for her, was glad to not have to do the 10 min walk to school. Day off work too. So sofa and blanket kind of day.

-9 at 8am today according to our local weather station. Due to be getting warmer on Saturday.
