What would you take to keep yourself warm?
Winter boots, thermals, plus layers. Gloves, scarf and hat. Flask of tea (would take more, but toilet not available!) Fleece blanket.
That's doable, right?

I drop child at cricket to and have to sit for 2 hours as not time to drive home and back to collect. I take a flask of tomato soup, a fleece blanket, can of de-icer spray, gloves, hat, bottle of water and I read kindle on my phone. I can go into sports centre to use the loo.

@Tallerthanmost

I have neither the time nor the crayons explain this to you. I can only assume you're on of the cars who sits outside my daughter's school every morning pumping carbon monoxide into the atmosphere for the children to enjoy

No. Firstly I have an electric car, so certainly not polluting near your daughters school.
Secondly, stopping for 2 mins at drop off / pick up is kinda different to sitting for and hr in sub zero conditions.

When I do this I get the car as warm as I possibly can on the way there (so heating up, heated seat on), then have a hot drink and make sure I have hat/scarf etc. If it is super cold I might take a blanket too.

But I generally try and find something to do in that time if I can, even if it's just a slow walk around a supermarket.
