Thank you everyone for sharing your stories. There is some joy in shared hypothermia 😀

Yes. Doing it as we speak. Refuse to have the heating on until the kids come home....

I am always cold! We have the heating on first thing then again for a few hours at tea time. I've been layering and using my heated throw for working from home but today brought the Kuddly out (it's an Oodie by another name) and it has kept me warm all day long. Fingerless gloves are definitely worth trying. I've also got Primark fleecy leggings and a long sleeved thermal top which I wear pretty much all the time.

It's much more economical to have to heating on at 17-18 all day than to keep blasting it for an hour or so, it's -1 outside, I'm scared of our bills but it's important to be sensible and not freeze

Do you have the option of going to the office but you'd rather be cold at home than go in?

This is me. Cold, layered up but still would rather work at home.

It costs me c£50 per day to go in, the most I've spent on gas and electric on a day so far is £10. So, I'll stay at home for now. Trying to keep costs to a max of £8 per day.

Therm says my living room is 14.5 but I don't feel cold at all currently. I went into work one day last week and found the office boiling!

This is not a universal truth, it depends on your heating, the insulation and your house.

My heating appears to cost about a pound an hour, regardless pretty much of the temperature it's set at. So more hours is more cost.

@doris9034 i think that’s what I need!!
I can cope with my body being cold, but my fingers get painful and wrist warmers and fingerless gloves don’t help.
