Don't ever buy a BMW

Just that really.

Taking my car in for a software update (recall) that was rebooked 3 weeks ago when they cancelled on the day. No option of courtesy car. Bookedit 9am this morning as asked , staying onsite as no option to do 40 minute journey home and I'm still here. It's not gone on the ramp yet.

No updates, no apology, just being patronised.

This isn't the first time.

Third recall.

So please consider this, along with trust pilot before you purchase one, and pity us that did buy one.

DPs freind is a mechanic, been one for 40+ years now and always says they're the cars to avoid. An RAC man told this too. Mercs= reliable.

Iv had 3 none of them ever gave me a single issue barring wear and tear on brakes/tyres usual stuff . All lovely cars to drive and I miss being able to afford to buy one 😭 just to balance the argument haha

The emu is just that.

The man is constantly walking around the village with his poor emu on a leash. Very sweary man.

The thing is. I have wasted a whole day getting something fixed that BMW have messed up on. Which happens. I get that. But why ask me to come at 9am when you're not going to get the car ok until 2pm? Can't they just schedule and ask me come at 1?

This is the third time. They are not offering courtesy cars full stop for the recall. It's obviously been a massive inconvenience to them but I had no updates, I just watched people come in and out getting their cars sorted and I was sat there like a lemon.

I had this with a local tyre and exhaust centre last week. Bring it in at lunchtime they said, it's a quick job they said. I therefore hung around the shops and McDonald's over the road. By 4pm they hadn't rung me as they said they would so I rang them. We're just putting it on the ramp now was the answer.
After all that they then found another small job and could I bring it in for 8. 30 the next morning. I complied and got a lift home this time. They said they'd ring when it was ready. Heard nothing, so rang them myself. Oh they said, we're about to get it on the ramp next. What a fiasco. I could have turned up at 4pm with the car and only waited 1 hour, instead of 4 hours in Dunelm and MacDonald then next day, two round trips of 30 miles, takin DH out of work to run me.
