Tomorrow is the day I find out if I'm likely to be able to conceive naturally or if I'm infertile.

I'm mentally in an extremely dark place and struggling to come to terms with having to have surgery in the morning. I'm having a laparoscopy to remove endometriosis and one Fallopian tube. We aren't yet sure on the condition of the other Fallopian tubes but I'm so scared.

Can anybody offer me any advice please :( I've waited a long time for answers and I don't actually think I can cope with them :(

Thank you again everyone - all of these comments are making me feel soooooooooo much more confident. I am still nervous and scared but to see that so many others have been through this is really makes me feel far less alone. 🤍🤍🤍🤍

I had an ectopic lost a tube had 2 naturally since. No probs. Struggled a bit with 2nd but had a lap and dye where they took some endo out and put some dye through the other tube to see if it works...did the trick also must make you very fertile as the next try she was made. Are they doing a check on the other tube? Seemed to do the trick for me. All the very best of luck for tomorrow you have age on your side. Fingers and everything else crossed xxx

I had endo removed, i went for cyst removal and they found so much endo. 1 tube pretty damaged.
Had clomid and metformin. Conceived 2nd cycle.

With eldest same meds for 14 cycles.

Youngest. After being told wouldn't happen naturally. I found out i was pregnant, had a MC around 7 weeks. 4 weeks later pregnant again.

I hope you get a great outcome.

Also had the lap dye which seemed to have helped.

Just think of it as a geography issue, IVF is the solution!
Don't fret it's just a different way to achieve your goal.
Good luck tomorrow

PollyPurpose · 03/11/2022 05:43

Good luck 💛

Pumpkinssoup · 03/11/2022 05:43

Everything crossed for you OP 🤞🏼

sarahc336 · 03/11/2022 05:49

Good luck op, whatever you find out today at least you'll have all info to then make an informed decision around how you move forwards x

Hillsmakeyoustrong · 03/11/2022 05:55

Hi OP. Age is definitely on your side and when you know it's going to be more complicated then you move as quickly as possible. I had/have bad endo and it was on my ovaries and scarred my tubes. Bypassing the tubes is absolutely possible. I didn't go ahead with any treatment and I have adopted my children but ivf was still offered to me (albeit with warnings of low success) at age 40! So I don't think you need to worry. You're tackling it at a young age. Good luck!

ellesbellesxxx · 03/11/2022 06:02

Hope it goes ok today xxx
I felt like that the night before my laparoscopy/hysteroscopy but actually when I got told natural conception would be a miracle, I felt relief because at least I knew? We started IVF the next month and despite my low egg count too, we had beautiful, feisty twins!
Keeping everything crossed xx

geordieporgie · 03/11/2022 06:12

Thank you 😭😭🙏🙏

Is this surgery bad? I'm so worried of the after effects :(

I have had two laparoscopic ops and I bounced back very quickly. Honestly, you are going to be fine.

WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay · 03/11/2022 06:32

I had a laparoscopy to clear endometriosis and remove a cyst from my ovary in August. I also have a very low egg count. The operation was meant to get me ready to have a punt at IVF, though my chances were low. I am now 7 weeks pregnant and conceived naturally. I am 40.

WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay · 03/11/2022 06:33

Good luck!!

geordieporgie · 03/11/2022 06:33

Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes again. I'm so overwhelmed with everyone's kindness 😭😭 I will be rereading these all up until the surgery.

I'm so worried the surgery is going to make me sick and in agony :(
