Suspect he will justify it by that he gets to tell his story naturally and redeem his reputation. The reality is this is going to make it a fuck ton worse for him.

I don't understand how/why they can have extended leave from their job as an MP, but he's not the first to do it.

I think in any contest between Hancock and Boy George, I'd find myself rooting for Hancock!!

It makes me feel sick seeing utter creeps such as Alistair Campbell, Ed Balls and now this one trying to reinvent themselves as likeable, fun guys on reality TV.

Of course he has, what a fucking arsehole. Pathetic and desperate. Honestly politicians should get much better screening as to their motivations for standing in the first place and much more mental health support on getting in to office. This is a guy who has destroyed his marriage and career in the last year or so. This move is so predictable it is pathetic. He should take some time out to figure himself out, and learn how to not be such a selfish fucker, not chase fame in this sad manner. I'd feel sorry for him if he hadn't done so much harm.

I won’t hear a word against Ed Balls!

Excellent post - staggeringly incompetent minister for health, quite happy with no PPE provisions for health workers in the event of an epidemic: he's responsible for the death of quite a few, lest we forget. The gormless moron.

Is it that much of a surprising path? His political career is over and this way he will have some kind of post-Jungle career for the next few years while he figures out his next move. Plus his autobiography/COVID diaries are due to be released in December, so it's all publicity for him.

Given Boris Johnson has clearly deserted his constituents for a Bahaman holiday and big money US speeches, he should have the whip removed too. The only difference is that he has more supporters in the party, Hancock does not.

If I'm a Celebrity voters have any sense, keep Hancock in as long as possible and make him do every single awful task. Make him believe he might actually win before voting him out/giving him a huge dose of reality as to how despised he is and he will be not be absolved.

Why on earth would he want to go on that dreadful show?! Obviously all he cares about is his ego and desire to be famous...how did we get in this state of such a shit show of politicians?!
