What housework have you managed to get done today during half term?

I'm off work this week for half term, and already the house is a state. Sort of state where it's not really recovered from the weekend...I've been out this evening and now at 10pm I feel I need to catch up on the chores. Ha. I have managed to tidy up the living room and dining room and anti-bac'd the kitchen tops and washed the dishes.

So motivate me, what housework have fellow half term mum's done today?

Actually give me a quick chore to do and tell me to go and do it, please. Ha.

@Emily1583 Go and put some washing away, if you’re anything like me there’sa big clean pile somewhere.

I’m feeling pretty dizzy with covid and not moving much, so I’ll be quite happy to sit here and tell the rest of you what to do. Planning to do the same with my DC later and bribe them to hoover 😆

I actually sorted the laundry last night whilst pottering round for a quick late night housework rescue 👍 Well sort of, I folded up all the clothes off the radiators, put our clothes away but the pile is still upstairs waiting to be put away in the kids drawers as they were fast asleep by that point.

Ok I've showered and got changed and feeling ready for the day now 👍

I've also been out and brought the bins back in and washed the dishes 👍

Ds wants to go down the park on his scooter so I'm gonna quickly put the dishes away and antibac up the kitchen tops before we go out.

When I'm back my list today will be

Put kids clothes away
mop the kitchen floor
put bleach down both the loos
The window on the stairwell has a hand print I noticed just now so want to wipe the window there too.

👍

OP. how's your list coming along?

No, it wasn't all in one morning, I spread it over two 😁as I was actually physically in work yesterday.

This morning I only did 2 machines of washing, 2 projects for work, washing up and mirror cleaning.

Since then I have done more work, more gaming, more tidying, more TV and I am now ready to watch some more while knitting the patchwork blanket I promised my DD.

My rountine involves getting up ridiculously early, though, and getting things done there and then, so I can relax once the worst is over by around 9.30am.

Thanks @Emily1583

I'm normally in work however I am off this half term 😁
The key for me is to get up and do all of the jobs I would normally do first thing....the rest of the day is just keeping on top of it then!
