No spoilers for today's word, but there have been THREE words this week ending "double letter" then a Y.
MUMMY, FOGGY, CARRY.

My least favourite combination of letters... I hate guessing a double letter as if you're wrong you've wasted an option! And as for Mummy with 3 M s!
Grrrr.
It took me ages to forgive the setters for FLUFF!

I got it in 4 today. One line of idiocy where I used the same wrong letter in the same wrong place, but the rest of it discounted enough letters to get it right on the next go.

Same! I hate double letters too. Especially if you've got one of them in the right place so you assume there's only one of them not too

I guessed the first two lines and then my 9 year old guessed the word in line 3!

🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I got a 3 today too. And a 2 yesterday. I sensed shenanigans with the MUMMY one and got a respectable score there, but FOGGY nearly fucked up my 100% score. It was xOxxY all the way from line 2 to line 5, where there was a welcome breakthrough. Bastards.
I really need to stop seeing Wordle as personal validation. No other bugger calls me Splendid or Magnificent.

Or be rude enough to call out phew when you get there by the skin of your teeth :)

I agree that MUMMY was a vicious one.
