Throw your best slow cooker recipes at me

I've just bought my first slow cooker and need some tasty recipes and winter warmers!

I make ragu in mine for bolognese or lasagne. Also curry, chilli, stew, shoulder of lamb, pulled pork. This cashew chicken

And a pork casserole which is diced belly pork (rind removed), garlic purée, tinned tomatoes, smoked paprika, diced chorizo and tinned butter beans.

• I actually have a pea and ham slow cooked stew on right now! I use 2 packs of quick cook split peas (only 2hrs of soaking beforehand) , a smoked ham hock/joint with the skin and excess fat removed and any veg I have. Tonight I've added cubes of carrot, onion, sweet potato, swede, last bit of celery stalks and 2 potatoes. I don't add salt, as there is enough in the smoking IMO. Cook overnight on low and perfect by morning.

• Ox tail or beef cheek stew. This is 1 recipe I've used- when I had no idea what to do with a jar of pickled walnuts I'd acquired. www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/highland-beef-pickled-walnuts-puff-pastry-tops. I add pearly barley and more veg though. I also don't both with the pastry on top.

• I've made lasagna in the slow cooker too! It can be done, but doesn't get the same, crispy top that an oven does. It doesn't save any time, so I wouldn't bother again. (I was renovating, with limited kitchen facilities at the time!)
