Struggling to cope week 5 of splatter diorheah from 5 months kitten

I've started a thread in litter ( before the thread zealots) jump on me.

I'm now struggling to cope with cat diorheah.

Five week's in.

Splash everywhere her butt and trousers splattered...walls in it...we are having to confine her to the kitchen.

She has a walk on a lead and one hour of play inside. Otherwise she's smearing poo.

We have wipes but are careful as they hurt her.

Poo samples are clear but not back on the one beginning with C.
If that's clear we look at other stuff.

We live in a small house. One main living area and a closed off kitchen.

It's a horror show. I've had pets before and nothing like this. It's my worst nightmare in. Pet. My girls cant hug their pet.

What else can we do..i dare not change food .

Is there anything I can ask vet for or do.

I did buy some special gastro cat food and it's done nothing.
I'm desperate. I'm extremely worried about hygene.

The vet said 6 months.
I'm going from our vet and because there is no chance she will get pregnant,that's fine with us..

@mistermagpie .
Thank you.

It affecting us all because it's a small house and she's in our kitchen,the litter tray and all..
Having to step over and around it etc and the dc can't hug her properly.
She makes mini mountains out of the litter and it runs into feet ETc as she's doing it.
😪

They have been wanting a pet for soooooo long.

The oldest about 10 year's and it's heartbreaking all around really. The Extra stress and work for us is stressing us all out.

Try poached chicken and maybe the Royal Canin digestive biscuits.

Our DBoycat went through a period of constantly throwing up. He had poached chicken and those biscuits and was a changed cat.

You REALLY need to go back to your vet who sounds like they are doing all the right tests (I am a vet). Please don’t take advice from unqualified people in the Internet. Tell your vet that you’re not coping. Ask if they can keep her in. But you might just need to be patient. Some puppies and kittens just seem to have very sensitive guts like babies and diarrhoea can take a few weeks to settle.

@Wotrewelookinat .. thank you.

I'm in and out of the vet all the time.

We are waiting for these t featous tests to come back.

Seeing nurse tomorrow for the flea and worm tablets.

I am feeling very depressed now. We can't access our kitchen properly,we have a sliding door that doesn't work well and we can't let her into our living room until she's completely evacuated her bowl.
So literally daily life washing, dishwasher is all becoming stressful trying to get in and out with arms full of washing.
Then trying to negotiate the kitchen floor with a large litter tray in the middle is awful .

We've just left her on the gastro but my husband wants to add normal wet food in again ( we went to poached chick).
He said we didn't wait long enough for other stuff to work, so day 2 of just gastro and he wants to add in something else.

Sorry for the moan it's all just literally such a bloody mess.

@Wotrewelookinat

It's been about 5 /6nweeks now.

What I don't understand is why the first lot 9f anitbiotocs seems to work almost instantly after 2nd dose?
So something must have helped there.?
