According to dh it’s not normal that I have an urgent need to go in the morning. He tends to wait till he’s been up a few hours

My oldest child would wait hours too and that’s after a 12 hour sleep. I’ve had to train her to have a morning wee or she would need one and be grumpy but just nit go.

A580Hojas · 18/10/2022 20:34

Oh really?

Why do you want to start a thread about going to the loo in the morning?

Benjispruce4 · 18/10/2022 20:41

i normally go before bed, during the night if I wake up and first thing. So does DH.

Lcb123 · 18/10/2022 20:42

Very normal! I think he might be dehydrated…

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 18/10/2022 20:45

Indeed. People really need to have a think before revealing details of their,er, routines.

Are there really people who get off on people giving such non-graphic detail as 'I go for' a wee'? No intimate descriptions as to how said wee is had or anything like that? It takes all sorts, doesn't it?

Benjispruce4 · 18/10/2022 20:46

And what if they do enjoy details of times of urination? How does that impact me?

stillinflipflops · 18/10/2022 20:51

Think yourself lucky, one less in the queue first thing!

Iknowforsure1 · 18/10/2022 20:56

I do both, first and second, in the morning. First straight away, second comes straight after the morning coffee lol

itsgettingweird · 18/10/2022 21:00

Normal.

It's biology.

When you are asleep your body gets rid of all the waste and we have a hormone that stops is needing the loo whilst asleep.

Bit of he's emptying his bladder because he's waking in the night it's probably why.

My alarm goes off at 4am.

I've had my first wee by 4.01 Grin

maddiemookins16mum · 18/10/2022 21:18

I don’t last the night, always need to go about 5am. Do tend to go back to sleep for an hour though.

Safer · 18/10/2022 21:21

First thing I do, even with a screaming baby! I need a pee - so will quite frequently be found at 7am yelling with my head round the bathroom door - 'Mummy's coming. Mummy's coming! Mummy's having a wee wee. Just a second'.

grapehyacinthisactuallyblue · 18/10/2022 21:34

I really don't think it's normal or not normal either way, it depends on what you have consumed a night before, and how long you've been sleeping.
I can wake up and want to go straight away sometimes. But equally. I wake up and not need to go sometimes.
