To think it’s normal to need the toilet first in the morning

According to dh it’s not normal that I have an urgent need to go in the morning. He tends to wait till he’s been up a few hours

Think OP might have dumped her post and ran Smile

RefuseTheLies · 18/10/2022 19:42

I am averse to drinking water and am probably quite dehydrated, and even I wake up needing to pee first thing.

WeeblesWibbleWobble · 18/10/2022 19:44

We're all morning pee'ers except dsd who can go till midday with no wee. But also hates drinking so tallys up. She can wake at 8am. Pee midday. 1st drink of anything 1pm gone. Its a battle!

MrsDThomas · 18/10/2022 19:47

wee, yes
poo, always in the morning before i go to work.

Chikapu · 18/10/2022 19:47

I wee when I get up but it's never 'urgent', I can wait until I've fed the cat, put the kettle on and opened the blinds.

StupidSmallFruit · 18/10/2022 19:49

Why is he even commenting on this?

What a weird thing to a). notice, and b). silently-but-so-obviously judge someone about.

mondaytosunday · 18/10/2022 19:50

Yes - you've been in bed for hours of course it's the first thing most people do! I go a couple times in the night as well. Even if it's not what your husband does, why is he making any comment on what you do?

StupidSmallFruit · 18/10/2022 19:53

It might shock your husband to know that some humans and tall and some are short. Some people love, I dunno, peanuts, while others are allergic.

Hope it isn’t too traumatising for him to wrap his head around the radical notion that …. people are different…..

gamerchick · 18/10/2022 19:53

Well, it's been a while since someone wanted to talk about wee like.

Snoken · 18/10/2022 19:53

Of course one needs the toilet in the morning. For me I have to go as soon as I get out of bed. I’m glad I don’t have to get up during the night, but I’m sure it’s coming too.

he must be dehydrated.

StupidSmallFruit · 18/10/2022 19:54

Oh God, this is the wee person, isn’t it.

Why bother….

QuebecBagnet · 18/10/2022 19:54

My bladder wakes me up about 6am and these days I have to run for the bathroom to make it in time.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 18/10/2022 19:55

The only people who don't need a wee (and possibly also a poo) soon after waking up are those who've already done it in the night, whether getting up to go to the bathroom or.... not.

Not only is it several hours for what you've eaten and drunk to make its way through your system, but whilst you're asleep is when your body particularly likes to catch up with the non-conscious processes.

Children don't wet the bed just for something interesting to do; we adults get the same build-up of 'stuff', but our bodies/hormones/muscles have just developed to the point that we can hold it in until we wake.

bellac11 · 18/10/2022 19:56

God I wake up busting. And I go a few times in the night

Its got worse since peri menopause.

Howk · 18/10/2022 19:57

Needing the toilet is usually what wakes me up every day. He’s the weird one.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 18/10/2022 20:01

What a weird thing to a). notice, and b). silently-but-so-obviously judge someone about.

I completely agree with you - but it's not uncommon for people to be judged harshly with horror for daring to use a public/work toilet cubicle for a poo.

There are a lot of people out there who just love to judge people for normal, boring, inconsequential things - probably like in the old days when a woman could have been up all night with a baby, very unwell, at work or any of countless other useful/necessary/productive activities - but if the filthy slattern hadn't scrubbed her doorstep until it sparkled, she was the lowest of the low and beneath anybody's contempt.

TheOrigRights · 18/10/2022 20:09

It's my sodding bladder that wakes me up.
He's a freak. Sorry.

NC12345665 · 18/10/2022 20:19

Is he competitive about everything? Or just about pissing? He sounds like a pain in the bladder arse.

limitededitionbarbie · 18/10/2022 20:22

StupidSmallFruit · 18/10/2022 19:54

Christ is there a wee person now.

mavismorpoth · 18/10/2022 20:24

Normal for me? Yes.
Normal for most? No idea, but I've always drank a lot of water so needed to wee frequently.

I wee in the night and on waking, that's been a thing since mid-30s.

DarkShade · 18/10/2022 20:24

Interesting first post, OP.

StupidSmallFruit · 18/10/2022 20:25

I’ve reported, so I’m sure @MNHQ will confirm if genuine or not.

NC12345665 · 18/10/2022 20:29

Normally the wee trolls have euphemisms in their usernames e.g. kitty. Have they evolved to not be so obvious?

ClaudineClare · 18/10/2022 20:31

DarkShade · 18/10/2022 20:24

Interesting first post, OP.

Indeed. People really need to have a think before revealing details of their,er, routines.

MacroTwigg · 18/10/2022 20:32

Oooo the wee troll in action! I've always missed out until now!
