Hi I’m asking for a friend she called pip up in suavest and requested a form to be sent out but she said she was on the phone for around 15 minutes explaining what’s wrong with her and giving bank details she then received the forms she was currently waiting to be seen by a psychiatrist but the waiting list is so long to be seen so she said she would get seen first and some help and then fill it in with there input she does have 14 years off history being on anti depressents beta blockers
and so much more but pip have said they are calling her next week for a assessment and she said why would they do that when I haven’t filled my forms in 🤷🏻‍♀️ Now she’s worried incase she doesn’t get it without her filling in the forms has this happened to anyone else ?? Just find it weird apparently sometimes they can just go off the phone call but really can’t see that
thank you x

I'm having trouble believing she got awarded PIP without any evidence and within 2 weeks if I'm completely honest. Even under special rules where the claim is fast tracked she would need medical evidence. The waiting time for PIP applications is way beyond the lead times they give and current claimants are having their awards extended by 12 months rather then reviewed because the workload and backlog is so huge.

My PIP application was really fast (2020). From assessment to first payment was 8 days.

I also didn't send in any evidence. Not a scrap!

Things have changed dramatically since then.

Presumably you have medical evidence in the form of GP/specialist? Which OP friend also had, so not no evidence, just no sent evidence.

@Harrysnippleno3 well I’m not lying she’s received the phone call to say she has been awarded and you don’t always needed medical evidence only if the medical evidence actually states what your saying and not most does
not gonna lie am I ???

That is considered evidence. She did have evidence.

It doesn't matter if it was sent in or if the DWP asked for it. It is all consider evidence. She had evidence.
