As a few people said earlier they love a food thread I thought I'd ask as I'm procrastinating from the washing up... what's everyone's tea tonight? Or even for this week. What sort of things are we cooking / making/ warming up 😂

To start off Monday I did a hotpot. Last night toad in the hole and tonight kids had carbonara whisky I had chicken and salad wraps.

So it's over to you... MN what's for tea?

Roasted squash and feta pasta from the freezer.

Windtunnel · 12/10/2022 18:49

Veggie frittata as I'm not eating much today. Served with salad and homemade chips for the rest of the family who are eating normally

Chicken thighs sprinkled with oregano & baked in foil ( really wanted to roast them but could only get skinless), roast potatoes & fine beans.

Skinless roast fine btw, I only ever buy skinless.

We had salmon fillets with hoisin noodles

Maybe a McDonald's on the way home.

Last night was leg of lamb roast dinner.
Tonight was a real mixture.
3 kids had chicken goujons and chips
1 child had stir fried something she made herself
I had ramen
Dh is clattering pjs and making noises about chorizo pasta for himself.

Tomorrow is chicken curry.

pastapestoparmesan · 12/10/2022 19:06

Spag bog. It was going to be a pasta bake, but that seems like too much effort!

A580Hojas · 12/10/2022 19:09

We have dinner, not tea. Tonight it will be ham, egg, chips and peas!

Homemade vegetable soup with crusty rolls.

Making that at the weekend, but adding forrin and fancy to it in the form of garlic baguettes 😄

Chateaudiaries · 12/10/2022 19:10

Tortellini mozzarella pasta bake and peas. I’m not a pasta fan so I had a small portion with a big salad and a homemade French dressing.

ZuzuSusu · 12/10/2022 19:11

Love these!

Monday was poké appetizer (that i picked up while out) + a chicken pie
Last night was turkey, avocado and cheddar sandwiches
Tonight I'm having vegan broccoli cheese soup and the rest of the family is having veggie pizzas
Tomorrow is Korean ribs and sticky garlic fried rice
Friday will probably be leftovers/scrounge in the pantry! (But I'm having a lunch meeting at our all time favorite takeout place, don't tell my family!!)

Eeiliethya · 12/10/2022 19:24

Beans on toast for us.

Me and DP alternate cooking. He loves it and his culinary skills far outweigh mine.

I leave the healthy/tasty stuff to him.

Tbh though beans on toast is in my top 3, hot beans, fresh toast with Lurpak. Mmmm.

CatSeany · 12/10/2022 19:58

Fuwari · 12/10/2022 20:29

For japanese curry I use this
www.ocado.com/products/s-b-golden-curry-mix-hot-294503011
I am a total spice wuss! And even I can handle this one but milder versions are available. I think you can also buy it on amazon. Some other supermarkets might do it but I'm not sure.

It is the easiest thing in the world to make. You literally just add water to the curry roux, it comes in a block. Throw in anything you want. Bring to the boil and simmer. It's delicious!

forevercooking · 12/10/2022 20:59

@Fuwari brilliant thank you
