Well. I'm just grumpy as I say and need to know some lovely stuff you're doing. I've been to watch footie with my son (his team lost), cleaned kitchen - chaos as husband on diet and making soup/ shakes and leaving it minging (telling off will ensue), dog was barking like mad at neighbour and I shouted at him so now feeling guilty and cuddling him and murmuring how sorry I am in his ear (please don't flame me here - I feel like crap now and only shouted "enough !!!" but feel like I'm horribly )
I'm now cleaning as if I'm grumpy I may as well be grumpy in nice surroundings !

I've had further low level annoyance with DH ignoring my clear instructions to get my sausages out the oven when timer went off (quorn sausages - to snack on )
Fire now lit though and I've given kids a beige tea
I may open Prosecco in defiance of DH on his diet ....
These days have all cheered me dearly but I do hope PPs feeling poorly are soon we'll

Not a very cosy Sunday here so not really on the theme of your thread, OP. I am now snuggling with the cat on the bed, which is nice. We've both got Covid and it's hard to have anything like a normal weekend as we're trying to avoid giving it to the DC. Our house is also upside down due to building work. DH is a bit further out of it than me so he's been doing a lot - making meals, laundry etc. I've been mainly hiding in the bedroom and trying to ignore the fact that the DC are back on screens. Normally we'd be lighting the fire and putting a movie on around now but we're trying to keep out of lounge til we're negative. Not much fun but it will pass.

Restful Sunday here.
DH was at work 8 till 3. I had a lay in (getting over chest infection) and kids amused themselves.
Tomato and cheese sandwich for lunch, then light pottering and watched Bend it like Beckham.

DH got home and took eldest and ddog for a walk.

Doing a crossword now while DH cooks curry and rice for tea, he's already premade a blackberry and apple crumble.

Strictly results later then reading in bed.

Had an easy day here. Been on our allotment tidying and harvesting the produce. Brought all sorts home, inc apples, raspberries, mushrooms. Another allotment holder gave us stuff as well. Cooked some up for tea. Will be watching Strictly results show with a glass of wine.

Finished decorating the living room. Cleaned the Venetian blinds and have determined that I’ll save up for Zebra blinds that can be vacuumed.

Going to carry on with my knitting ( long cardigan) whilst DH is making meatballs.

Livingonjuice · 09/10/2022 19:53

Updating to see how beetroot chutney went!
Halloumi pasta was lush but v v filling
DDog flaked out DH guitar playing, DS x 2 watching footie and I've just had a cry about the missing mouse thread mentioned on the thread about favourite thread thread (!)
Was kind of hoping boys would retreat and Xbox but it's kind of nice just "being" with them

Loving these cosy Sunday tales.

Mine - well I woke up first (I'm in temp accommodation waiting for flat purchase, sharing with two chaps and three dogs) - this meant I was first on the porch out the back of this lovely farmhouse overlooking the levels. So I had my coffee. Then I did all the jobs on my list, the washing and hoovering etc.

Then I started learning a new song on my guitar - I heard it in my heartbreak last night and decided to learn it - its more complicated finger style so it pleases me to get that bit better by being able to play it. So I learnt that and played it to my housemates for a bit.

Then I read Gone With the Wind and am now in a clean bed in clean pyjamas relaxing.

Only thing missing is some of this lovely sounding food people have been cooking! Might have to plan something nice to cook tomorrow after work.

Finished making a cold frame from old pallets this afternoon, cooked a Sunday dinner, friend came round to share it and now I'm watching Jackie Brown and knitting/playing on here.

Had such a nice day - it’s been the perfect autumn weekend. Slept late and as OH was staying over not just sleeping ☺️ Then walked to the park with his dog for breakfast and came back to potter in the garden which looks so much better for a tidy up. He left early evening as DD came home and we’ve spent the evening having tea together and catching up on tv.

Hope your day has got better OP - if you like gin have you tried Bombay Bramble? It’s lush 🍇

Took 13 week pup to the coast today, first time by the sea. He wasn’t bothered by the noisy, large waves and was happy walking along the pebbly beach. Also, quite happy for people to come and say hello to him, and slept in the car on the way home.

Really pleased if how today went.

Its pouring in Glasgow and has been for days. Not very cosy here.

Iamnotaloggrip · 09/10/2022 21:51

We’ve had a lovely day. Park run this morning with the DC, then parents came round for lunch (shepherd’s pie) and I managed to batch cook some soups for the week too. We all took the kids out on their bikes to a local park this aft then back home for a light tea and the footy. Played some board games in between. Now in bed with a cuppa about to start a new book.

Hope you’re feeling more positive Op 🙂.

Had a lovely roast at MILs. Now in bed with the cat catching up on some YouTubers I follow. A lovely day :-)

It's Monday morning as I write this. After walking the dog I had my Sunday treat - proper cooked breakfast: poached eggs, tomatoes and black pudding, all on toast with HP sauce.
Despite being spring in Melbourne, it was very cold, though sunny, so tidied up the garden and picked all the sweet peas so my living room has their honeyed smell. And I'll get more blooms. Smile
In the evening I built a log fire, drew the curtains and re-watched the last series of "Ghosts" in preparation for series 4 which starts on Tuesday.
