How much water do you drink per day?

My water intake is shocking. I rarely drink more than 250ml a day, unless I have a cup of tea. I know I need to change but I find it hard drinking water just for the sake of it. If I am thirsty, I reach for the Diet Coke. And guess what, I am thirsty again. Also, I hate tap water too. Maybe you think I am being fussy, but it genuinely does not taste nice in my opinion.

How much water do you drink? If you have gone from 0 to 2 litres - how did you do it? Did you see any noticeable impact in your general health, everyday life etc?

WTF is all this making yourself drink water? Drink when you are thirsty. It's what your body tell you to do.

Unless you're very elderly, dehydration is not an issue.

And no, it does not improve your skin.

Well my skin looks better when I'm hydrated grumpy. Nothing excessive though but I see the difference if I eat more fruit/veg which is a large per cent water.

Dehydration is absolutely an issue for some who are not elderly.

I find it quite funny when friends tell me to ‘just drink a glass of water whenever you feel thirsty’. I’d drink about three times a year in that case as my thirst trigger failed in my 20s!

Pure water - nothing unless in Summer

I mix water with pure apple juice, around 1/3 juice to 2/3 water. Around 1.5/2l a day on work days, less on the weekend as the routine. to have a glass at the desk is out of the window.

Add some other soft drinks to it and I would say I drink 2.5l liquids which are not caffein or alcohol.

at least 2 litres a day, 3 or more on exercise days. Plus tea and coffee and wine
