Anyone else felt awful after the Moderna Spikevax booser

The other jabs I had were the Pfizer ones. I had a bit of a raised temp the same night and was a bit achey but it went off by next day.

yesterday mid afternoon I had the Moderna and feel dreadful. My arm is so stiff and sore I can hardly use it. Apart from when I’ve had cocodamol I’m freezing cold and shivering and my legs, arms and hips ache. My head aches and I feel dizzy. The weirdest thing is the tips of both thumbs going numb. I’m retired so have been lucky enough to be able to stay in bed today. Has anyone else felt worse after this new Moderna ? I’m glad I’ve had it done but flipping heck.

I had it last week along with the flu jab and just had a sore arm, thankfully. My elderly mum had it at the same time and didn't have any after affects.

@Myotherdogsaballboy I felt like that with Pfizer

Nothing other than a sore arm. I had Pfizer for my first three jabs and the fatigue was much worse (no other symptoms though). I've had Covid between jabs 3 and 4, unsure if that has made any difference.

I had a bad reaction after the first Moderna jab. Not right away. It was a week later. The arm swelled up, red, rock hard, swollen glands in the armpit on that side (which never returned to normal). Haven't had the booster yet. Not sure I will.

I had the Moderna vaccination and felt very nauseous and practically slept for two days.

DP felt very poorly, he had the shivers, muscle pain and extremely sore arms.

Strange how the side effects can be so different.

I feel much better today but threw up mid evening. Like covid itself the side effects to the vaccines seem so variable as to how they affect everyone,

So far, ive had 2 x moderna jabs and 1 x pfizer. With the moderna, i felt like I'd been hit by a bus both times. Huge temp spikes, so achy all over i found it difficult to go to the loo. With pfizer, a slight ache in the arm. Couldn't believe the difference. Dh has just had moderna for the first time and now acknowledging that i wasnt just being dramatic! 🤣
