For example if a 7 year old said it to a 10 year old who has been saying eg "Shut up egghead".

Really??

MangoBiscuit · 27/09/2022 13:47

I would be more annoyed with the 10yo tbh, no need for name calling.

andtheweedonkey · 27/09/2022 13:49

It's better than being told to go fuck yourself...but the meaning is the same.🤷‍♀️

girlmom21 · 27/09/2022 13:52

Rude enough for you to tell your kids to behave

JaneJeffer · 27/09/2022 13:58

Are you writing a soap opera?

Johnnysgirl · 27/09/2022 14:01

Extremely. Is it your 7 year old?! You need to put a stop to that.

Nannymaggy · 27/09/2022 14:01

im not. Sure what the actual meaning is but wouldn’t be surprised if it has rude/coarse undertones . However, I would discourage any young person from speaking rudely like this in an argument

NuffSaidSam · 27/09/2022 14:01

I think it's PG. Fine for CBBC, but not Cbeebies.

JorisBonson · 27/09/2022 14:02

Are these American children from the 90's?

Bearsporridge · 27/09/2022 14:05

Does it have a double meaning, I’m missing? I really couldn’t get my knickers in a twist over this.

Surtsey · 27/09/2022 14:18

They are standing up for themselves against an older child who is bullying them, by the sound of it. I wouldn't be annoyed with the 7-year-old, but I would be furious with the child of 10 who should know better.

Travis1 · 27/09/2022 14:28

Meh I couldn’t get worked up about it, not like she said ‘bite Ma banger’. Though the intonation is the same I suppose 🤣

Wandsup · 27/09/2022 14:29

Similar level to ‘kiss my arse’ to me.

ChilliBandit · 27/09/2022 14:30

I’d say both insults are on par

MissyB1 · 27/09/2022 14:30

I have no idea what it means! 🤷‍♀️

Floydthebarber · 27/09/2022 14:31

Is one of them Bart Simpson?

mathanxiety · 27/09/2022 14:33

Yes, it's like kiss my arse.

The ten year old needs a stern talking to.

TenThousandSpoons · 27/09/2022 14:38

It’s not as rude as kiss my ass.
About the same rudeness as Shut up, egghead.

Sandysandwich · 27/09/2022 15:03

It sort of means I don't care or go away, so not really that rude. I would say its cheeky to another child, rude to an adult.

ChiefWiggumsBoy · 27/09/2022 15:06

I think it’s on a par with get lost. I wouldn’t be angry for a child responding like this to teasing, it’s better than retaliation.

AriettyHomily · 27/09/2022 15:13

Hi Bart! Couldn't get worked up about it.
