What action are people taking if you're angry/appalled/anxious about the new mini-budget?

Does anybody else feel that we as a society need to at least voice our concerns and not sit back and suffer and struggle while the rich get richer at our expense?

I am already worried about the next budget if we just let her and her cronies get away with it. She is taking working people for fools.

I've wrote to my MP. Now what?!

I’m terrified. I rent, I have two cats. My landlord only had one property and he’s lovely but I know he’s struggling financially and if the interest rates go up again I dread to think what would happen. There just aren’t any private rented places round here anymore and the ones that do come up are unaffordable for someone on a single wage and don’t accept pets. Rents have literally doubled in the past 5 or 6 years in my area. Mine now is well below the market rate and I’m living hand to mouth as it is. I work full time and earn at the very top end for the kind of work I’m in so I can’t just find a better paid job. I have a good job and budget well, I haven’t had a holiday in 15 years, I don’t drive, and now I can barely afford food and heating. If I lost my accommodation I would literally be on the streets and would had to give up my cats, I don’t think I’d want to stay alive. I dread to think what the next few months is going to bring. And I’m in a much much better position than a lot of people.

I'm actually considering voting Labour for the first time in my life. 🙁

Not because I think Labour will do any good, but Liz Truss cannot be allowed to continue to have any power. She is an economic ignoramus and morally empty, you only need to look at the path of the £ to see what the markets think.

I feel utterly depressed that anyone, in any reality, could think this is better than Rishi Sunak.

I suppose those that wanted Boris out got what they wanted

Almost makes you wonder what would have happened if Boris had stayed in power

Sometimes I think it is a case of be careful what you wish for.

Similar position except with 5 cats.

Really thinking of getting a couple of caravans and a piece of land.

Vote Labour

How

There hasn’t been an election and even if there was. Would Labour just do the extreme opposite and we would still end up in a similar position.

The OP asked what we are planning on doing and voting Labour at the next GE is my response.

I don't know why you think they will do "extreme" opposite or why we would end up in a "similar position". Have you read about their green economy policy released yet sedat? It's excellent and eminently sensible and would secure us against rising bills, provide more jobs and help climate change.

I see most threads with ' I am furious about high pay tax cuts' and then go on to say ' we are that £150k+ family but we feel for others'... in social media age, this counts as action.
