As in, how will you keep your toddler occupied whilst trying to watch proceedings? (To those who are interested in watching it obviously).

DS has been surprisingly interested, asking who everyone is, asking some at times inappropriate questions about the coffin etc, but very into the whole thing, he's 3 I did not expect it. However we are off to the park/beach after the parade to meet up with friends and their children and he knows that.

Mines pootling too- she was three in summer, bit of colouring, bit of snacking, bit of questioning (so far she's asked when she'll die), I'm sure she'll get a bit grumpy and I'll take her out in the afternoon, but it's not going to hurt her.

Mine would have just played with their toys. They were happy to amuse themselves for a while. I didn't consider watching something on the TV as ignoring or neglecting them.

The 4 year old crashed into the room during the Silence, banging her Little Tykes drum followed by her slightly older sister playing a kids trumpet. Ruined the moment to say the least. I've given up watching.

I have toddler twins

I've managed to watch it with strategically timed snacks and trying not to wince at the sound of all the toys being tipped out over the other side of the room

DD(3) ended up half watching and just playing on her tablet, occasionally asking questions about things. All very civilised!
