Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, listening to the breeze & watching the drizzley rain through the windows.

I could do with a nip to town but really cba to go. I think a moochy day of washing, tidying, and crochet is on the cards. I need to do a little bit of Rainbows and Guides prep for Tuesday too.

The girls are tired after their first week back to school & dd1's spent a lot of time organising revision cards/notes this week (GCSE's this year!) I expect they'll watch more Gilmore Girls, & at some point they wanted to make sugar mice so the mould is out ready for them.

We're having diy pizzas for tea, dd2 wants to make them 😋 & then tonight will be more not doing much...probably the food channel on tv for me & more crochet.

Ddog woke me up early for a wee at 6:30, came downstairs to find both children awake and watching screens. Attempted to go back to bed but Ddog then got me out of bed again to for a walk and a number 2 🙄

Watched Paddington 2 with several cups of tea and DS who didn't want to go to his sport this morning.
DH outside working on my grandfathers tractor.

The rest of the day includes a birthday party for my best friends son, more films, and tea. Tomorrow I will have to concentrate on washing and general tidy up and hopefully see said grandfather.
I have instructed DD to find me some jam or marmalade recipes so we can start preparing Christmas presents (and DS is Paddington mad so he will need his own jar of marmalade!!)

We're all exhausted having got back from holiday late Monday night and straight back to work and school on Tuesday so everyone's tired. Including DS (ADHD) s hopefully a nice chilled out weekend for us all.

Also attempting a low carb diet (so no bread or pasta or all the delicious things I like) and I'm starving. I just want some toast!

This morning I went looking for some vinyl albums with DH, then had brunch before he dropped me off to get my eyebrows done.

Just waiting for him to pick me up. This afternoon will be a mix of garden jobs (repotting some cheap strawberry plants and digging up my potatoes to see if they are edible) and housework which I'm going to delegate to DH

This evening we're out for a family meal to celebrate SMILs birthday.

Sat watching Sesame Street with DD, whilst DH makes lunch. This morning has been chilled - boiled eggs and toast for breakfast and playing 'house' with DD. She's on the verge of turning 3 so I'm birthday planning whilst she watches tv 🥰

Going to have to pop to the shop soon as I just realised we are out of toilet roll 😱😂

Jealous of all you lucky mums getting up late and having cups of tea in bed!

My day so far:

OH brought me a cuppa at 8am. He is busy today fitting an extractor fan in our new bathroom.

I managed to get DD to do her homework ( win!), helped DS with his and then the 3 of us walked into town to pick up a package which wasn't there.. v annoying.

Took the kids for a quick run around the local play area, came home made them lunch and not doing much now until I go over to visit my old mum and brother on the other side of London later this afternoon. Haven't seen my mum in months.

Then off to visit my best friend and her husband who have recently moved into a new house very close to my mums.

We will eat takeaway, drink prosecco and gossip/watch films and I will be staying the night there.

It's 8.30am here and I'm drinking Yorkshire tea and eating toast and marmite.

Switching between watching stranger things 4 again and streaming BBC and helping DS1 choose some Lego for his birthday.

DS2 has a birthday party at 10am, will go get groceries and considering if I do a roast tomorrow.

No autumnal feelings here, it's 31oc already and I'm slightly hungover from a friends birthday party last night.

In bed with a G and T. Got some gardening done including an autumnal bonfire which smelt lovely.
Have eaten crap all day including a Pot Noodle for tea.
Going to sleep soon

Hope the weather stays nice for one last weekend I'm not quite ready for autumn to set in yet
