Smashed avocado on one side (NOT guacamole, plain smashed avocado)
Sharp white cheddar (lightly broiled) on the other

I'm out of croissants till Saturday, I don't know how I'll make it till then.

Nutty brown bread, thin layer mayo, good ham, salami, sliced gherkins, jalapeños, a thin slice of mild cheese like Edam or Red Leicester.

Mine is probably my favourite because I only ever have it at Christmas, made mainly with leftovers.

Decent thick cut white bread, thick butter, thick slice of home cooked ham, thick slice of Turkey breast, homemade cranberry sauce, thick slice of Brie. Sometimes (if there is any left) leftover (homemade) bread sauce between the two meats.

No room for any salad, but I have that on the side.

Cheese and beetroot with mayo.

Soft white seeded bread, salted butter, still warm roast chicken, curried coleslaw.

Bloomer with butter and homemade coronation chicken

White bread. Butter. Marmite.

Egg mayo, with salt and black pepper, thick fresh white soft roll, dipped in Baxter's tomato soup.

Warm ciabatta, tomatoes, avocado, maybe some leaf, HOT halloumi, and balsamic and mustard dressing. Unf.

Wholemeal bread, thick cut, with cold roasted sweet potato, cold roast chicken, and stuffing, salt and pepper, mayo and lettuce. Oh man, now I want a sandwich like that for lunch!

Onion bhaji, mango mayo, cucumber and coriander on malted

We are not a very "sandwich" family-the exception being Christmas. I actually cook an extra crown on boxing day for the sandwiches.

I buy white bread for the only time in the year.
Softest white bread, mayo, cranberry sauce, leftover turkey, salt.
Crisps in sandwich or on the side, but one crisp eaten with each bite.

The stuffing is cold and on the side. (can be eaten in sandwich but that is not canon)

Sliced salt beef, edam cheese, pickled gherkins with English mustard and mayo on buttered wholewheat bread

Warm chicken sandwich.

Thick, crusty bread with lashings of butter, freshly carved chicken so the butter melts, lots of salt and a pepper and a squirt of salad cream.

Absolute perfection.

DH invented an amazing sandwich using up left overs the other day.

Cook some chicken goujons. Slice a Morrisons white salt and pepper bap, and chicken goujons, top with grated cheese and put under the grill. Once the cheese has melted, add sliced tomatoes, jalapeños, sour cream, and salsa.

Thick cut ham and piccalilli on granary - yum!!

Aldi used to sell them but not anymore ?

My local butchers does a steak, onion and peppercorn sauce and cheese baguette, they fill it then toast it for you and it's the best sandwich I've ever tasted.
